Hell yeah i hear bowie in a lot of his songs! And when you compare it to the new shit... (not the good marilyn manson song btw) ...the generation of music culture sucks! I wish i was there in the 70s.
It IS a mix of Bowie and Iggy Pop, the main characters insist it was written by Iggy, but I most seriously doubt that, it suffice to give an ear to Blue Jean by Bowie to know who wrote Isolation, and if you look closely at 1:56, you will see who plays the sax too 😜
It's the best soundtrack for this gray year of isolation. Rock romantic, blue of loneliness, a cheetah showing his side sweet for once. Finally in high quality! I love the video, it's magical and Iggy was in shape. Until now it wasn't even on RU-vid. Thank you!
Needed you, you were only using Needing you just tore me down Here I stand in isolation Feeling emptiness and doubt Walking down the broken highway Sucking sugar, plain and sweet Did your mother ever tell you That the joyful are the free? I need some lovin' Like an inmate needs a dime I need some lovin' Like a poet needs a rhyme Here I stand (isolation, isolation) In isolation (isolation, isolation) My empty hands (isolation, isolation) In isolation (isolation) Walking down the broken highway Sucking sugar 'cause it's my way Find me one heart to complete with Heading for the farthest reaches I need some lovin' Like a body needs a soul I need some lovin' Like a fastball needs control Here I stand (isolation, isolation) In isolation (isolation, isolation) My empty hands (isolation, isolation) In isolation (isolation, isolation) Strike up the band (isolation, isolation) In this proud land (isolation, isolation) Got a lot to do, got a lot to say Got a life to live, got a lot to do Got a lot to say, got a life to live Got a lot to do Here I stand (isolation, isolation) In isolation (isolation, isolation) In isolation
I love the Blah Blah Blah album, totaly underrated but to me it's his best album, and this is my favorite song from Iggy "Isolation" Needed you you were only using Needed you just tore me down Here I stand in isolation feeling emptiness and doubt Walking down the broken highway Sucking sugar plain and sweet Did your mother ever tell you that the joyful are free I need some lovin' like an inmate needs a dime I need some lovin' like a poet needs a rhyme Here I stand (isolation, isolation) in isolation (isolation, isolation) my empty hands (isolation, isolation) in isolation (isolation, isolation) Walking down the broken highway Sucking sugar cause it's my way Find me one heart to complete with Heading for the farthest beaches I need some lovin' Like a body needs a soul I need some lovin' Like a fastball needs control Here I stand (isolation, isolation) In isolation (isolation, isolation) My empty hands (isolation, isolation) In isolation (isolation, isolation) Strike up the band (isolation, isolation) In this proud land (isolation, isolation) Got a lot to do, got a lot to say Got a life to live, got a lot to do Got a lot to say, got a life to live Got a lot to do Here I stand (isolation, isolation) In isolation (isolation, isolation) In isolation Iggy Pop / David Bowie
Amazing, beautiful video. When I listen to this song, like Bowie' s Absolute Beginners too, I feel like I' m flying, on the oceans... it' s a beautiful sensation. Listening Isolation seems to me like hearing David Bowie' s voice in the choir. Big Bowie, Big Iggy!
Bellissima e molto orecchiabile Questa Canzone ! And i know deeply what isolation IS, not for a choice but because of medicians mistakes on me ... and affected during time ...sides of my personality
I like to make boat voyages at sea alone to farest desert islands of Finland's south-west coast and this song is like a taylor made for those trips, i never get bored to this song. I know Iggy has norwegian roots, sea is familiar for all norwegians, so it's more than natural that of all the pop legends, He has made this masterpiece for lone seawolves like me to listen from motorboats stereo's ;)
I'm watching this video after watching his video on his own song called "Dirty Little virus" sweet hot damn does this song hit you right in the heart at this point in time
Iggy Pop a Master !!!, represents a lot to me.Thanks to him I discovered the goth music because of his register of voice. When I was a teen I listened to Iggy on the radio ,and then I felt in love with his baritone voice. After that experience , I started hearing music like Bauhaus,Sisters of Mercy ,Joy Division and Depeche Mode
Anybody noticed the chords are exactly the same as "A career in a new town" by Bowie? I mean not very strange considering Bowie's involvement but quite a fun reference.
I was just scrolling through songs 🎵 then this came up I only wish I had known about iggy a long time ago I would of had been rocking his music .. Great song 🎵 my girlfriend and I broke up way back this would have cheered me up love ❤ it..
Street walk-in’ cheetah? Always... Heart full of napalm... yup... but in a beautiful way. Thank you sir, much love and good health to you and your loved ones.
Me: Oops, I forgot to put on a shirt this morning. Is something wrong with me? Iggy: Oops, I forgot to take off my shirt when I got up. Is something wrong with me?
Wow! Great song and video! Iggy has something of the European of him god bless him. Was listening to the Doors lately. Very European sounding. European-sounding Americans. Also, Iggy got A LOT from Morrison. Baritone voice and the wild stage moves. Watch THE DOORS A FEAST OF FRIENDS, it's stunning! Anyway, great vid and song Iggy.
One of the most passionate, sincere, genuine people on the planet.Grateful for putting these strong emotions in such accomplished way together while being c r o s s e d...I have been crossed my whole life...wherever important I go,some chemtrail cross appears on the sky..
