Ignaize kill statistics. Game 1 average kill percent: 162+179 tipper kills: 0/2 Game 2 average kill percent: 129+137+132 tipper kills: 2/3 Game 3 average kill percent: 155+106 tipper kills: 1/2 Game 4 average kill percent: 191+172+88 tipper kills: 1/3 Game 5 average kill percent: 160+137 tipper kills: 1/2 Average Kill percent: 146 average tipper kills per game: 1/2.4 (42%) Ignaize had an average kill percent of 146 which is not good, even for this MU. He also achieved 5/12 potential kills with tippers. These also account for tippers that led to positions that cause kills that Lucina would not get. For a MU that Marth wins and THE ONLY MU that he does better in than Lucina (quite ironically yet logically so), this is quite low. Not to mention all the potential damage he lost from missing tippers (it will happen ofc) meaning that he had to get so many more hits in to actually build up the percent in order to kill. Poor Marth man, look how they massacred my boy. I've had 13+ years maining this character and look at the state of him now. #marthsux
Nice write up. Yeah, I love playing/watching Marth, but it does feel unfair--the risk/reward is not balanced properly for either Marth or Lucina. She gets way too much percent and knockback for far too little risk, and Marth is not rewarded enough for landing tippers (how do tipper fair and bair NOT kill at 130%????)
Wrong. Marth is better. What a shit take. You reviewed a Marth who's bottom of his pr vs a top 150 player and thought it meant something. Marth objectively has better buttons and kill potential. This match doesn't change that
SPOILER: That was a nail-biting series the whole way through. Ignaize is so stylish, but Mr. E seemed like he played the waiting game and caught Ignaize one too many times with grabs from ledge recoveries (not to mention the up-b out of shield kills). I'm always cheering for Ignaize but I think Mr. E was the better Marcina ditto this game. GGs.
I also thought it sound really dumb, but maybe he was talking about that usually, Marth's gameplay is slower than Lucina's because of the spacing for tippers. But honestly it still sounds dumb, Marth doesn't need tippers until high percentage and also has some kill confirms or just up b out of shield, soo idk 😶
i wish the commentators didn't spend 85% of their time talking only about ignaize. mr. e deserves respect just as much as the next guy. great series, just felt awkward to listen to
