I feel like there aren't enough fireworks in this show, to me it feels like the projections are the main part and the fireworks are only complimentary. Disneyland Forever has the perfect mix !!
The Part Of Your World segment was taken directly from World Of Color, translated to Chinese, and slapped some fireworks with it and I appreciate that because it's impeccable
I think that castle is too 3-D to have a good projection effect. Unlike WDW and DLR where there's a good chunk that's occupying the same relative 3-D space, this one has too many layers to have a seamless projection. It shows that Disney knows it's got this problem by how small they make their characters at times.
this test show only test the projections, water jets, pyrofx on the castle area and small shells on the back of the park. They will add the main shells, they will have like wishes like finale in the opening day of the park
The show was nice and the castle looks amazing, but there are barely even any fireworks at all! DEFINITELY "DISNEYLAND FOREVER" FIREWORK SPECTACULAR IS THE BEST DISNEY HAS DONE UP TILL THIS DAY!!!
At the end i was like .."Ohh, they DO actually have fireworks XD" ..Yeah, the only thing i don't like was that they bearly had any fireworks in the show O.o..anyway ..the show was amazing !!!
It looks pretty good, but I have to agree with some of the other comments on the castle animations being laggy and a bit too much Frozen, at least for me personally. I found the Star Wars section a bit of a disapointment, but then I saw the Hollywood Studios fireworks at the beginning of the year so I'm a bit biased on that. I did really like the Aladdin section and LOVED the beginning of the Lion King part. Though again, I'm a massive fan of the films so I could be biased. Nothing beats Wishes or Dreams for me, though. Or Fantasmic, if that counts!
To be honest, I agree. Part of the reason I love Wishes is because I saw it when I was a teenager, so it's a part of my childhood. I would love to see them change Wishes up a bit sometime soon. Fingers crossed!
I'm a bit conflicted. On the one hand, I understand that not everyone can go to every park and see every show, but on the other, I'm tired of seeing the same old segments used again and again for all the shows (ie Let it Go seems to never go and its obvious The Little Mermaid segment is from world of color.) I was so happy to see Mulan because its new and not something I've seen in another show. I think thanks to technology and youtube, people can see these shows anytime they want, so I think Disney should be bolder and explore a little more, 'cause while I love The Little Mermaid, it would be nice to see other less popular movies be mentioned like Treasure Planet and Tarzan.
I'm surprised that there wasn't a larger Zootopia presence in the show considering how much money it's made in China and how popular it is. Perhaps they didn't have time to add in a whole new section.
+GabeThe DisneylandFan The opening chant for Circle of Life should still stay in its place if Mickey hadn't messed with that thing with Rafiki's Simba painting and the rising sun should stay in its place as that said sun rises to the opening chant for Circle of Life! The Little Mermaid segment should also feature the song Under the Sea, I also hated the STAR WARS segment which somewhat bugs me, there should also be the Tangled I See the Light segment, The Bare Necessities and I Wanna Be Like You from The Jungle Book, a better version of the Mulan segment with some appearances from Mushu, etc.!

I understand World of Color is a nighttime show at Disney California Adventure but Shanghai Disneyland was basically owned by Walt Disney, the same company who produced the soundtrack....
The technical aspects of this show are absolutely amazing and as a result the effects are quite magical. However, the show feels very choppy. The transitions are quite messy and there really isn't much of a narrative. This seems to be the case with most of Disney's newer shows (World of Color, Disneyland Forever, etc.) but I think seeing Up and Star Wars back to back doesn't really help it.
Is it me or is there a distinct lack of fireworks in a lot of this "fireworks" show? The fireworks they do use work well, and they have a mini-World of Color element to it but it does seem a little lacking.
This show is similar to Disneyland Paris if you come to think of it. And this is a test! Who knows? They might add a bit more touch in the real one! And if this was the "final show", it would be fine with me. I guess Disney was aware of the pollution in China, especially in the Shanghai area and this is probably a much safer and better alternative. :)
I agree. I wasn't impressed... You would think with all the time they spent to create this park that they would have prepared the right specs for an entertaining night time spectacular...
well this one basically had nothing original. it's theme song wasn't even original. before it had a much better theme song. The theme song was better themed because it had more to do with the Ignite the Dream stuff so this show really didn't make sense to me

Nick Pelayo I believe that song was just written for the opening day festivities and shared a name with the fireworks there wasn't supposed to be a correlation
Not much of a fireworks show if you ask me. It's also way to long and drags from watching nothing but projections on the castle. If this is the future of nighttime fireworks spectaculars, it's pretty sad.
