I mean I got a guitar at 5 so I mean the “late start” opinion/comment is just relative to what you think is a long time. To be clean I don’t think I had a late start lol
I mean in the traditional sense, a professional musician, especially in the classical genre, often receives their lessons and formal training from the age of 4 or 5 so it’s still a common belief that starting at the age of 13 or 14 is kinda late. In my country, our National Academy of Music takes in students from the age of 6, and to be able to pass the entrance exam you really have to start training from the age of 4 or 5. Just some side information for why many pp say they started late with any instrument at the age of teens :)
Bro shut up,He excels at a lot of styles of music not just shred.He chooses shred because he likes it the most.And he’s an academic graduate with a music theory degree.Even when just looking at him playing you know he put the work in to sound and look fluent.
