In memory of Igor Zhukov who passed away on 26 January. When I listen to Igor Zhukov I feel overwhelmingly alive. He shared the utmost depth and intensity of emotion through his playing. It was not just conviction, as if that's some final thing, but conviction in the search to make something real and sincere. I always feel a sense of exploration in his special readings. He was a great musician.
Игорь Жуков - Бетховен

This pianist is one of the most exceptional I know. His interpretations are very personal but each time deeply humane and sincere

So much performing and emoting by others and then with Zhukov, real feeling. And a face out of Dostoevsky. His playing is soft-grained and may strike some as unduly reticent but the sincerity is palpable. RIP. Thanks for sharing, friend.

Так хочется плакать! Но нельзя-нужно идти. Проглотила комок, смахнула выступившие слезы. А фотография то какая изумительная! Я так люблю деревья.Иногда больше, чем людей . Спасибо,вам!

What a wonderful soul. Makes late Beethoven sing. This pianist was not appreciated enough in the West.

His Beethoven here sounds "double-sided": tragic and eroic, but also crepuscular and nostalgic. Very beautiful.

A wonderful performance. He could be somewhat uneven but it's the peaks that count!

Apologies for him passing away this year. I've heard of his recordings. Such astounding attention to detail and personal interpretation. We may miss a legend in the keyboard in presence but not in spirit.

Actually, I find this performance to be amongst the very best ever of this sonata, I'm not afraid to put it along Grinberg, Hess or Schnabel in the pantheon of the sublime and transcendent

Surprising! (At least to me!) I like the phrasing, it makes Beethoven feel gentle and sweet in parts. I didn’t know you could do that like that.

朱可夫的音色可真是漂亮,然而如果你以为音色就是他最迷人的地方你就完全错了。
