My daughter showed me this. I'm 71 and grew up with all kinds of music. Most music today is boring and formulaic. This is literally an amazing masterpiece. The syncopations and drum parts are insane.
Honestly I thought so too until I heard the exact same song with the new singers and a guitarist... Check out Opus Brain LIVE at Pol'And'Rock Festival 2021
@@djlowtek I have to say I just checked that one out personally I like this version better. They are both great but this lady brings some heat I guess they got a new singer and she is great but I prefer this still. So much pain in her voice it’s very unique.opera meets death metal absolutely love it.
Damn her voice at 3:40 put tears in my eyes so much emotion, hearing her voice crack with such amazing organic passion that feels so honest and believable.
It doesn't make sense because I literally cannot understand a single moment of anything in this song. But her voice in that moment brings the tears something fierce. That strange power of music, my friend. I don't need to understand it to feel touched by it. Fuck yeah for IGORRR.
@@OfficialArthusamakh I think it's a matter of opinion, but I could definitely see both sides. I think they both kick arse but I feel like Laure had a warmer voice whereas Aphrodite has a breathier sort of delivery. Not that she's better or worse than Aphrodite. Idk I'm a musician not a vocalist but that's how they sound to me
Igorrr is on another level. Be sure to check out their album "Nostril" and here's a killer video from their latest album: IUeD : ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-3zRU-VU87HI.html
Can we take a second to appreciate the percussion in this? The tuning, miking, and mixing of the drums are terrific, and the drummer himself is a fookin' beast. Not that he's setting a world record for BPM, but his playing is VERY tight and technical, he makes great use of the full kit, and he hits goddamn HARD!
There is something primordial about the way this group conveys emotions in their music. Absolutely outstanding! To see them live must be an extreme privilege!
This hits me so fucking hard. The way Laure and Laurent physically wring out their lungs to project every bit of emotion that's humanly possible, combined with all of the classical and acoustic elements, savage but precise drumming, heavy guitar work, purposeful dissonance, dynamic composition--the result is absolutely godlike. The climax of the song makes my heart want to burst and causes me to choke back tears... in the very best way possible. 10/10 - Would have emotional breakdown again. (And again.)
Imagine they had pyrotechnics and stuff for their show... I would go totally mad. The sound and performance is so mighty, heavy and orgasmatic. Give them special fx like rammstein got and they will burn this world down.
Imagine a show where they opened for Rammstein. That would be the last concert I'd ever attend because nothing would ever compare. EDIT: Honestly I don't want that to happen because Igorr should never be an opening act. That would sell them short.
My mom pushed me to sing pop, opera, show tunes and so forth but I wanted to make hard rock and metal. After learning of this band I really wish I hadn't given up and let my voice go to crap. Who knew you could do it all. Well done igorr, well done.
Can we give it up for how fucking tight they are live? I know all instruments other than drums are pre-re but seriously, drums, vocals, mix and stage presence is on point!
1:29 and 3:49 GOOSEBUMPS! Every single time... Against 0 (zero) in whole Slayer discography lol. (and a hard-on, when Laure start singing)... just kidding :)
The only issue with Igorrr is the lack of creativity of all the other bands... I mean what you gonna listen to after Igorrr??? There's no next step. This is the frontline, the limit. We only went this far, not further yet...
I did. I can't deny the new singers are inesperatly good and up to the task. But damn, Laure and Laurent just have something special that is not technique related. Call it passion, sincerity, soul ... they just pour tons and tons of it and I just feel more emotions. That does'nt mean the new singers don't have it to me. It's just less and / or different. Maybe later they'll match this kind of intensity, specially when they'll work on their new album and be in the creative process : )
Dommage pour la Jupiler, Gautier, la prochaine fois que tu viens en Belgique (bientôt?) bois des bonnes bières. :P Sérieusement, j'adore ce groupe, et ce morceau...
