This makes me miss my Lilly Monster. She passed 2 years ago today 6 weeks shy of her 25th hatch-day. She was also free-roam and I would take her outside whenever the weather was warm enough. Way to give Rocket his best life!

Wow Rocket’s dad is totally dedicated with providing Rocket with an amazing habitat. He has thought of everything & his enclosure is superb. I love how he spends so much time with him & anyone can clearly see their connection to each other. Plus he takes him out & on excursions. What a great dad he is. I wish all pet owners & in particular those with exotic pets took the time & did the homework on how to properly look after them and provide the correct environment to enrich their lives. Kudos to this guy. 👏🏾

Massively seconding this. Iguanas aren’t at all a pet for everyone-their aggression during mating season is no joke, and neither is their tail whipping. That said, I’m glad the warning encouraged research rather than fear of the exotic species.

My wife and I have two Great Danes and an iguana (his name is Ed) in Baltimore of all places. They're total BFFs, are super protective of our daughters, and neighborhood celebrities. This guy is the shit for the way he takes care of Rocket. Even though we can't talk to them and they can't talk to us, pets aren't any different than people. Take care of them and they'll care of you. #Family

Love it! I'd love to see an iguana IRL. It's obvious they love one another very much. Much props to how Rocket's hooman takes such great care of him, getting his environment right and all. I wondered if Rocket ever eats anything when they're outside, like bugs or worms.

It depends, I believe most iguanas are actually herbivores so they mostly eat fruits and vegetables like you see in the video. Some iguanas do eat bugs and maybe even small rodents I believe but most are strictly vegetarian.

I suppose it's not to everyone's taste...but I think he is very unique...and I totally respect the fact that you look after him with care and love. I like the fact you don't just leave him in a cage...I hate seeing any animal in a cage...don't even like seeing people put a dog in one when they go out. He's just er...not very cuddly...but he's very unique :-)

Lee is an excellent reptile dad, he thought about everything! Every single care detail - covered! The travel bag, harness and leash, perfect for outdoors to makes sure Rocket gets exposure to natural lights since it's vitally important. Rocket looks so healthy and content with Lee ❤❤❤❤

He did his research BEFORE he got Rocket! That means he was ready to find ways to give Rocket as much freedom as possible. Rocket has been able to expand his horizons and his brain power. That is a THINKING iguana.

This video reminds me of my experience years ago when I was invited to a friend's house where he had Iguanas walking about - it was free then and this reminds me of that time - I am glad this Iguana owner has his Iguana on TIGHT LEASE = THANK-YOU VERY MUCH FOR REMINDING ME OF MY PAST DAYS on the IGUANA scene.

I’ve had two iguanas! My first was “Iggy” who I inherited from my brother when he went to college when I was 9. He was the sweetest boy ever. Then my second was Olivia and she was not friendly with me at all, so I had to rehome her with a reptile rescue. They are awesome pets with a lot of personality and are a big commitment too because they have very specific needs.

Such a wonderful Iguana!! But his BUDDY is special too..Such a great pair!!! If you want an exotic pet like this...DO THE RESEARCH!!! Too many of these wonderful reptiles get people who have NO CLUE...then they get turned loose...and often die because of weather, other predators...and the fact they are NOT native to the USA.. Love this!!

This is really heartwarming. The owner's commitment to this pet reminds me of when I kept tropical fish. I moved abroad and sold the fish and all of my equipment, but it's crazy how you can develop a bond with all kinds of animals. Even fish have distinct personalities. But you have to do the work, as this guy clearly demonstrates in the video.

I am more of a cat person myself lol but saying that, i am really passionate about all animals, and i have never held an Iguana, i would love to give Rocket a cuddle, i think he is awesome! I also would just like to say i think you are doing a fantastic job with him, i love the fact you take him outside, and let him out of his cage when he wants, and also has a great cage to, he is defiantly living his best life, and he is very lucky to have you, as you are to have him! I want a dragon soooo badly...I'm glad these channels are showing that reptiles are capable of affection just like a cat or dog. Even though they're cold blooded and don't emote clearly like a mammal can, doesn't mean they can't or don't love you.

Iguana in my freshmen in high school period was my first ever animal to pet in the school, in April 2010, where I was getting to pet from my colleague as she was the owner.
