It is healthy for a green iguana to release their built up energy during breeding season, green iguanas have strong instincts, the action of attacking what he thinks is a rival male during breeding season is actual enrichment for them. Since it's a stuffed animal he is not going to loose, with saying that he then released that energy, feels good about himself and is more confident feeling like the alpha male of her territory. It also grabs the females attentions, females look for the strongest and biggest males to mate with, so this allows the males to also show off to the females(if there are any)
