Good job on the cab clean up! Also, good purchase of that new item. I know you'll get it fixed up to serve your needs. It looks like you have something good to start with.
Yea, there is a great starting point for me on the applicator. It does need some TLC but that is expected on old equipment. Thanks for being here and watching.
That injector should do the job. I had one about that size, bought it from a local Co-op that quit using it back in the 1990s. Mine had knives instead of coulters and a PTO pump. Looking forward to seeing the new interior in the 1086!
Hopefully tonight after I get home from work I can finish getting it together. Ups dropped the last parts off last night about 8:30p. That is late for me when getting up the next morning at 3:30a for work, lol.
Sometimes those coulter's just need have the through bolt tightened. If that doesn't work, I say run it this year and see where the bugs are. As for the cab kit, put a small electric heater in there the night before and close the doors. That will get everything nice and warm so the next day, you are good to go 🚜👍. Heck, you might even use some Super Clean and soak down the area under the seat then use a small hand pump sprayer with water to rinse it out. Just some ideas that have worked for me. Good Luck Tim
I like the idea of super clean the grease area but I have no way to catch the water and don't want to get it on the concrete floor. My neighbor told me what needs done with it before I bought it. He used it last year and the biggest problem was the tire keep picking up the N2 on the center row, then the tire was to big and not spreading out the right rate. Not sure that make sence but with already having the coop one, I'm not in a big hurry to get this going for this year. Thanks for the ideas and watching.
Heck yeah!! Looking fwd to seeing all you do with the new to you purchase!! Now I ADMIRE you persistence in that cleaning, I need to work on all those gear linkages but just can't seem muster the nerve to pull it all loose😳 That can kit is gonna be amazing, looking fwd to seei g that!! Thank you for the update Mr Tim!! Can't wait to see that new seat as well!!
I messed around with 1-4 gear shifter last year. It wasn't always going into 4th gear. It definitely helped to understand what is going on after having the back cover off. I only had the floor cover removed. It was not as bad as I expected.
It will be nice but just a preview, I got some bad wrinkles in it. I will say that putting a cab liner in is not my cut of tee, lol. Thanks for being here and commenting.
Just looked them up. Will keep them in mind. The company I found actually makes them with miter corners to fit the IH-1086 side windows. That is why I used them. Thanks for being here and the info.
I bought form fit with mitered corners for a J D sound guard cab twice ,from two different suppliers and neither worked for me ,it was for the door seal, one came with pellback tape and fell off after a couple months ,second one came with a tube of adhesive and it stayed on a little longer but I couldnt get either one to seal the door up ,even after adjusting door and latch,so then I tried Steel Rubber and has been on 3 + years and sealed the door up nicely, but I did have to miter my corners, just my 2 cents
I work for a fertilizer dealer also farm myself, I think that tool bar is a DMI 3100 or 3400 all those were loosing including the one I use for NH3. Doesn’t really hurt anything. I’d run it as is for the year then convert it to the knives you want this winter.
Thanks for the info. I just ordered a 3x6 tool bar to replace the one that is on there. I want to spin the pump around to go the right direction. I already have paid to use the one the coop has. So, I'm going to start on this rebuild later this year.
No way, lol. Cleaning it up and then prep work I can do, however, gluing in the liner is not my thing. That is definitely way harder than it looks like. I have wrinkles all over the place. I just told myself that I was doing it for the sound proofing, lol. Thanks for being here and commenting.
Some of that dirt you were cleaning out of the cab is probably original to the tractor. Lol. It's going to be nice when you get finished. Is that 3 point caddy home made? Never seen one made just like that.
Someone mentioned that they thought it might be a DMI setup. It all looks like it is setup as a 3 point caddy. And yes, I'm confident that there qas original.
