I would expect that, like here in Canada, they had to pass a citizen test before they became American citizens. They know more about the country's history and laws than most of the "born as a citizen" population.

I am a Christian and I have NEVER voted for tRump. I actually left my church during Covid because the pastor started his downward spiral into tRump looneytoon land. I've been so sicken, even though the Pastor has left the church but because the way a lot of the others embraced his views I refuse to go back

I guess all I can say is that what they did at the capital was pretty bad and I haven’t heard any talk about some of that stuff since pretty much the day it happened, but there is a lot of information online so for anyone who really wants to know what all went on that day it’s not hard to find out.

Traumatizing is exactly right! It's not disheartening, it's traumatizing. It's so disturbing that I feel very sorry for younger people. They will have to live with this hate movement for many years if not their entire life. I can at least be glad I had some good years where politics, economics, and daily life wasn't dominated by a cult of hate.
