Co-founder of Manzil NGO Ravi Gulati is in Guest in the Newsroom. A post graduate from IIM-A, Ravi teaches children at his home in Khan Market. After changing the lives of thousands of people in Delhi, Ravi is now working with government school principals to increase the effectiveness of government school teachers and children. Ravi shares that when he got a job in Canada after studying from IIM, why did he leave it and come back to India. Watch the full interview to know how Ravi is helping children from Manzil.

He was my neighbour for more than 45 years. Very Brilliant man. His mother dedicated her life for mentally Challenged children and he has also done a great job for upliftment of poor children. One of his student ( son of a barber) is now settled in UK and married to a British girl. What ever he said about his father is absolutely correct. He was a thorough gentleman. He used to run a Grocery Store.

@seekerofwisdom85, may I ask how do you plan to finance it? Mr. Gulati earned money in Canada and hence could give his time for free, and had parents home to start his coaching. Once he got fame, other people wanted to donate to his organization, and he said initially he asked them to donate their time, but realized he was being egoistic, hence later on asked for their donations.

I am only half way thru this interview and I realized that I have been listening to this amazing man with a big smile on my face 😊. A whole lot of things he said matches exactly to what my thoughts and opinions are… I hope I get a chance to work with him or learn from him how to implement this in my own small way in my home state of Bihar. I wish my kids knew good Hindi to watch this becoz this is totally in tune with what they want to do with their lives and it will give them encouragement and validation that they are on the right path. Thank you Saurabh for bringing this interview. I was upset with Lallantop a while ago… all forgiven 😊

I enter as a post graduate in Gujarat University.. My professor delivered lectures on economics of taxation .at First day class . At end of class my professor said to me " see me in my chamber after class.I enter his chamber he told me draw chair and seat. I know your brilliance, capacity of teaching the subject easy way and subject grip..Therefore I invite you in my chamber. From today you are my professor of mathematical economics in my chamber and I am your professor in the classroom" . It mean brilliant student can be a professor of his teacher..What a wonderful experience.

Thanks @thelallantop .. I have started a new NGO with the same concept which sir has...we are trying to educate children both academically and non academically. I have learned a lot of things from sir from this video. I have made notes out of it. Thank you so much for this program. I will wait for these kinds of programs. As a viewer I want you to do more programs on education specially students from govt schools .the way they are learning. What is the impact of parents occupation on students education. Please do programs on such topics. I expect such kinds of programs from you only. Also I want you should start one program dedicated to education topics only.

I never heard of this NGO. I really want to be part of this. I am about to finish my phd from Europe. But, I really want to do for my country education system. Indian youth is loosing the track due to lack of fear for education. Indian minds are the best minds of the world, that i can say proudly.

Great personality, I m impressed that he converted Faith into Action. Wish India nd Indians achieve this height with Mr Ravi's endeavour. I m traveling in Pondicherry right now and searched to find out about the schools of Sri Aurobindo's ashram school which imparts almost free focused education to children with no exams but teaches to a vast extention of non formal education through high discipline , just as I m writting this Mr Ravi mentions his visit to Pondi. Shivaji the boss movie effectively portrays dreams of an Indian who comes back to India and want to remove poverty, but is sacked by Corrupt Politicians and their Nexus! People want to contribute to our mother nation India but politicians, bureaucracy, people divided on the lines of caste make it very hard to do any change

So it's not at all suprising when we hear cases like people getting swayed by politicians by free rs.500 or chicken or daaru wine party. They think of the immediate thing that can benefit them. Sad situation
