I tell you are story My friend belongs to OBC category and belongs to upper middle class , so my friend's sister got 12 thousand rank in IIT advance .since she was a girl in OBC category and more of that they gave the certificate of being poor . 2 they showed that she is the only child in the family . So by doing this her sister got IIT Delhi chemical branch . While general category has no option to get into good IIT (top 7 engineering branch ) and have to go to nit . Is this promote talented students in country . One more thing her sister was not that good that why she was left unplaced and after that she got an off campus placement .
My uncle (general category) grew up in UP and did his 12th grade in Hindi medium. He was among the toppers at IIT Kanpur (Mechanical); did MS and Ph.D. in the US. He worked hard and learned English.
Case based reservation is dumb.... there's no reason for it to exist.one could argue that caste based reservation is one of the only place caste system still exists. The tution fee waiver is nice in my opinion as i don't think faking income certificates is as simple as that. Or maybe it's not an issue where I live
There should be a provision that anyone should be allowed to chose any caste. Let's see what do will people priotise more caste & their pride or Education

your dp explains your confusion forceful conversions of early Indian Buddhists into a new religion "Hinduism" which is simply a fabricated or false religion. and for the "proofsss" you won't find any manuscript, sculpture or statues of Hinduism beyond 9th century. Even if you think you got some "proofsss" beyond 8 or 9th century check it's source if it's authentic or not
Where General category students have to score within AIR 500 to get IIT Bombay, electrical engineering....a SC student has to score only 10,000 ....but the engineering curriculum in IIT is designed according to those top AIR students...so it is obviously tremendous difficult for a reservation student to cover up the curriculum.... Sometimes they crack only 3-5 LPA jobs or take off campus jobs after being rejected on campusing....
500th rank general category== 5000 th rank reserved category what pathetic condition for brilliant students in india and imbalance in education due to reservation
I am not sure about motivation to write papers in India, but I have to disagree with what was said about writing papers when it comes to US. Majority faculties in US emphasize (at times in toxic manner) on writing papers more than focusing on quality of research. For example look at the Stanford precedent scandal and Harvard scandal. There are 2 aspects for this. On professional level, the performance of faculties in US is judged based on the number of papers they publish in a year and the journal IF plays a role in it to some extent. Additionally, these papers are key outcome indicators for ensuring funding agencies that the their money was well spent. On personal level, most US faculties want to publish papers for fame and act smart in conferences and create a buzz about themselves in the community. Its that simple.
I know someone, basically two students from my school who were 1yr senior, just because they have that Sc reservation category, they got into NIT DGP just but getting 66 and 80% respectively. Whereas in spite of me getting 84.6% i couldn't get any literally any. I think it's now a shame borning a general male candidate 🥹🥹🥹
@@arjunsharma2506 Bhai reservation vali seats to fill hoti nhi to koi reserved bacha kyu hi ayega open seat pool mei. Moreover hate the game not the player
Nowadays even student from wealthy background are competing on reserved posts because of their category status. Can anyone explain why the son of any group A government officer should compete on reserved posts just because of his category.?
you are thinking in your own circle while government of India thinks all of us as one giant group, reservation wasn't meant for rich or poor it was about equal representation which was not given to the minorities (before 1980's)
In ST category, there are around 2k seats but only 1500 get filled. Im sure there'll be only 2-3 students around you with such privileges, the rest doesn't have any prior coachings, most don't even think of giving that exam as it's overhyped by being titled the toughest. In my opinion, if you have reservation, use it. Better to use it than give someone who scored even lower than you get a seat in it.
Bahut se reserved catagary ke student ke dono parents gov job main hai aur unko bilkul fee nahi deni padti aur Wah khoob paise udata hai bechara gen catagary usko poori fee deni padti hai wo bahut mushkil se apna kharcha chalate hai 🤔
damn! It seems like Harnoor is so full of spite for category students! The only reason he is in the US is becasue he is wealthy enough to afford the US undergrad fee! Isn't that unfair to the poor Indian students who cannot ask their daddy to send them to the US?
Why am I linking this video with caste discrimination, you might wonder? You are all highly educated, so let's first delve into the concept of caste. In Punjab, I've observed different Gurudwaras-one for Mazhabi Sikhs, and another for Khatri/Jatt Sikhs. Personally, I was unaware of things like IIT, KVPY, and Ivy League schools until I reached the 12th grade. It's common for people to avoid discussing caste issues. When viewed from a materialistic perspective, there may be jealousy towards someone belonging to the SC/ST category. However, from the standpoint of social justice, it can be perceived positively. While it is not ideal for individuals from the SC/ST community with higher incomes to conceal their status, this has become more prevalent in recent times. Nowadays, it is seen as a pragmatic approach.
Jee advanced 2022 I scored around 7,000 rank(with 1 year of coaching), and my (harijan) friend(with 3 years of coaching ) who didn't even have any CRL rank (which means he doesn't even qualify by general category, and there is also a huge difference between mine and his Jee advanced marks), is studying with me in the same branch and at the same institute. He is even richer than me, and his father is a civil servant. Sometimes I try to test him by asking him some jee physics formula that even a board's student can answer; he is so dumb that he can't even answer that, but because of reservations, they are exploiting our education system. Whenever I raise my voice against them, they always say, Your ancestors exploited us; why shouldn't we take reservations now? I have a line: "Let me slap you now (to my Harijan friend), and whenever my grandson or daughter takes birth, I'll let you slap him or her. Would you agree on this?"
You are just speaking about a narrow experience there is a large spectrum of inequality within our society, I'm the first degree holder in my family, I prepared for NEET and I cleared my category cutoff but due to some certificate issues I can't able to come under my category in our state merit list instead they included my name in general category. But I never felt bad I'm just stayed optimistic that someone poor got my seat instead of me so it gave me no anger. In my locality I'm the 1st person to go for a coaching centre and prepare for NEET by spending almost 1 lack I'm an SC Category student at my dad used to buy gold loan for my coaching. People are poor when you see people with low marks get seat it's not their fault cuz it's your fault that you can't able to compete with your own category students and secure a seat, people bashing about reservation are dumb with no proper knowledge about any problems faced by other people.
@@raneeshver3685Did you read my comment properly before claiming my kind of people just cry and can't even clear their own category cutoff. Tell me one thing, a student with 250 jee advanced rank(not selected in IISc.) and a student with 12K rank selected, who can do better research.
NRI Quota is there in IITs. But very few students come to study there, that too mainly from countries like Bhutan, Nepal, Bangladesh, etc. Why would international students want to come to IITs anyways? Almost any half decent country has better universities than IIT.
I think I have faced such trauma where everyone ignored and waiting for me to fail raising complaints on me fall in love she liked the attention and ignored I was mentally disturbed left iim in anger
If you see faculty position, any other position you can see that all this post are occupied by upper caste people, and their sons, daughter get privilege and they achieve big position, this cycle continues, To break this cycle caste based reservation is needed with some modifications
Is that their fault if they are seasoned from all spheres. Why don't you ever ask that why CEOs of Apex firms and Companies like Google, Microsoft , Adobe, Pepsi, Starbucks, are all general Category Indians. The faculty position you are talking about is nothing other than nepotism , not every general owns such high posts. I can give you endless example of people from Obcs st sc as well
@@souvikgorai5543 because to reach at those positions one need to have some particular years of experience and reserve categories have a lot of age relaxation benefits and thats why they don't even get that amount of experience. But students who belong to other categories are fighting for that particular category reserved seat only, so a category student do not compete in general seats ...
Wake up bro and check the rules before commenting. If a non UR student score more marks then general cutoff he is counted on general seats. Pls check the facts
@@SHUBHAMSINGH-gh6ln it never happens like that, because the student who had scored more than the general cutoff have already gained some relaxation for age, application fee, and the number of attempts, it would be bias to UR category if that student gets a seat under this category.
