I've decided to upload my first Akai Tracks tape to RU-vid for streaming. This album, created between 2010 and 2014 in Brighton, UK, marks a significant milestone for me. Back in 2010, I acquired my first S1000 and began experimenting with its capabilities in my tracks. Listening to those tracks now, they sound somewhat peculiar to me; they don't reflect my current style or approach. At that time, I was simply exploring without a specific direction in mind. I had a fondness for the amen break and enjoyed tinkering with the analog gear I had on hand. I wasn't focused on producing dance tracks or adhering to any particular genre; rather, I was assembling sounds and melodies purely for the sake of creation. Fast forward to today, and my musical journey has evolved significantly. I now have a clearer intention and vision for where I want to take my music.
Thanks ! Looking back at my own creations, it's like photographs capturing the moment. Would never ever be able to replicate any of this anymore. It was just something about the time and place and space in my head that led me to making this sort of stuff.
Šita muzika... jos klausantis tiek atsiminimų apie tuos 90's , kada susipažinau su jungle& dnb... Tie vakarai laukiant naujos mix'o laidos Radiocentro eteryje... Ačiū už superinius ritmus ir gražius atsiminimus klausantis jūsų užburiančios muzikos 🫡👍
🙏 Malonu. Mano meilė šiai muzikai ir prasidėjo 90tūjų pirmoje pusėje kai dar būdamas 11 metų atsitiktinai aptikau Radiocentro Mixą ir pirmą kartą išgirdau tai, ko dar nebuvau girdėjęs, atrodė muzika iš ateities. Man tas 90-tūjų skambesys iki šiol įdomus, kažkiek nostalgiškas bet tuo pačiu autentiškas.

Paklausiu to albumo apsivertė pasaulis aukštyn kojom ir jau be jungle ir drum&bass gyvenimas nemielas 😂 Ech, jūsų muzika tokia miela ausiai... ❤
Hey. I don't usually use akais sine wave for bass (used it a couple of times for non jungle stuff and it does sound beefy) but generally i just sampled 808 kicks that i have a collection of.
Hey ! Squarepusher and Aphex both had tremendous influence on my earlier work, but when I was making this one, I was slowly moving away from their influence, but I guess over the years I just became a little bit influenced by their earlier works forever :D I love jungle breaks, i love Squarepusher-ish drum programming and Aphex kind of melodic territory, and I blend everything together with my own spice.
Big up nice tunes. I’m actually in Crawley witch is not far from Brighton,I not long got hold of a S1000 and did a full upgrade working lovely and the sound 👌🏾
@@IJOSoundVideo that's interesting. How does it compare to Ableton or newer versions of cubase? Is it quicker for you to navigate and get ideas down with shortcuts etc? I've been using a hardware sequencer (S2400) and want to switch back to Ableton because it's quicker to create a song with structure and variation without tedious editing that takes days and weeks to finish, losing my interest in the track. Do you have any experience with trackers?
@@project-95 I use the very first Cubase version for PC simply because I have been using it since the day one. I am super comfortable with it, and in some ways it behaves slightly differently compared to Reasons MIDI. I haven't used much of Ableton, so can't say too much about it. Trackers are not my thing either, whenever I see trackers - I have no idea what I'm looking at :D Tools we use is a personal preference, mostly to help us realize our ideas superfast. What works for me, might not work for you, ant vice versa. I know some people who can't finish tracks when using hardware only setups and always go back to ITB stuff, whereas for me - i can be superfast with hardware and can be too long with computer based setup that I will end up not liking the music I am working on.
