This WDT tool is fun to use. It’s equipped with 8 needles, fixed in different positions, which stir the coffee ground in various locations while rotating. It can break up the clumps of coffee ground more evenly, efficiently, and perfectly distributed. With adjustable depth to set according to the desired depth of your filter basket being used.
The dosing ring is dual usage - it can be used as a normal dosing funnel and acts as a sitting base for the WDT tool to sit on securely during the stirring process. It also comes with a silicone base for the WDT tool to rest on when not in use and to protect the needles from being damaged.
Finally, with a cool appearance design - 2 parts of the tool that look like the 2 front legs of the praying mantis.

Why would they design this with fixed non-replaceable needles? Those are the weakest and hence first parts to get damaged. What then? Is this device meant to be disposable because it becomes useless if the needles are damaged and can't be replaced. That is a major design flaw.

@coreymbonge9532 - Hi there! Thanks for your input. iKape initial plan was to include a few replaceable needles (as still printed on the label) but they decided not to. Due to its unique design, it will be too much of a hassle for the user to replace the needles. Anyway, we have been using the Rotary WDT Tool almost daily with no visible needle damage. If you use it with care and always place it back onto the base after use, we do not expect any damage to the needles. Cheers!

I saw a video of them replacing the needles and it didn't seem hard and if they don't Supply them I'm sure that you could just modify the long wdt needles and replace them

The iKape instructions say to say to shake the grounds afterwards. I wonder why?

@tattooedchick24 - Hi there! Some coffee grounds might end up at the top edges of the filter basket during the stirring process. Hence, iKape recommends shaking the ground coffee after using the WDT tool to collapse nicely onto the basket. Cheers!
