Good interview! A very kind interviewe, who did a phenomenal job. I just watched "What's Love Got To Do With It." Lawrence Fish burn as Ike Turner, played that role, as did Angela Bassett as Tina. I just wanted more in-depth info on Ike & Tina. I'm glad I saw this interview. Social media makes a difference.
Ike was abusive and controlling FACT but to be forever punished for his actions is wrong. Even Tina forgave him in the end. He was very musically gifted and he gave Tina the stage for her to shine so in theory without Ike there never wouldve been Tina as we knew her in the 80s. Very sad that Ike wasnt a nice person because if he had been then Ike and Tina would have stayed together for much longer.
Tina Turner got what she deserved, because she took Ike from his common-law wife, Lorraine and Tina and Lorraine got into it. Then shortly afterwards Lorraine was murdered, and Ike said it was a suicide, which I don't believe. Then after Tina and Ike were married, their first child was by Ike's best friend and band member. Thus, Tina had an affair with Ike's best friend from the beginning of their marriage. Tina's kids also stated that she was never considered and acted like a mother to them, but Tina's mother is what they considered their mother as well as their grandmother. Google the kid’s interviews and they don’t hate Tina either, but this the truth. In Tina's documentary her kids were not in there and she wasn't motherly to those grandchildren, nor in their lives. That movie didn't show that! Those are the facts, and you can look that up. Now judge Joe Brown has said that Tina started off hitting Ike and was unprovoked, and then Ike started giving it back to her. Tina also never gave Ike’s name back to him at any point in time, even after she was married to your new husband, and she retired. If it were not for Ike Turner, she would be back in Nut Bush broke. Tell the balanced story.
@@MaynardJenkins What I've just read is not a "balanced story". Lorraine Taylor is still alive, and Tina had her first child before the marriage to Ike, and the rest is third and fourth party information.
