Thanks so much for this video, way more helpful than the instructions given. At 2:50 this is where I messed up. I added the top panel before added the rail. Leaving me without the right holes to use. I had to pull those plastic plug things out carefully with a screwdriver and re-do this step in your order.

this was SO helpful!!! I think Ikea should hire you to make videos - saved hours of our time! and makes us want to buy more from Ikea when its easy to put together ..however without the video it was super confusing! ..thanks again !

I really struggled to screw in the cross brace yesterday - I failed to manage it - the screws felt too big.... however, I was doing it by hand - I see you using a drill screw thing - I wonder if I should try that, if I could find mine...

Is there a substitute for the IKEA Elvarli posts we can buy from elsewhere? We purchased a three section Elvarli system minus the posts (since that was the only part IKEA was sold out of). No idea when they'll come back into stock.

I wish Ikea had come to an agreement with you to send this link with the invoice it would have saved us hours. The instructions with the units are appalling I think without doubt the worst I have come across. The comment about the bars with the holes being for the rails in itself would have saved lots of grief. I have one of the snapped plastic pieces still in the slot so looks like the only way I can get this out is to drill it😩. Thanks for the video.

Two tips I can give which will hopefully save time are. 1) The slotted bars with the holes are for the rails make sure these are the top rails. 2) If you inadvertently locate a bar in the wrong place they way to get it off the plastic 'lugs' without breaking them is to squeeze/push the tab that hangs down in and gently half lift the bar off then do the same with the other side. Don't do as I did which is to take one side out fully then the other, the tab will break and they are near impossible to remove from the slot.

Im only worried about those plastic clips on the sides for the shelves. Will they become brittle and just disintegrate over time?

Thanks for the video. It really helped. But an indication of how long it would take would have been nice. A 3 section unit with 3 drawers took me 4.5 hours to do, after knowing what to do from your video.

Nice job. I like that you didn't edit out the part where you made a mistake, you just backtracked and fixed it. Question: why didn't you build the main structure with it laying down? Then you could put the bottom shelf in without having to under where there was so little room. Couldn't you then stand it up and add the hanging rods and the drawers?

Score Fan If there is enough space you can build all storage on the floor in my case space where storage go wasn't big enough to lift up whole frames after assembling on the floor so I just build sides on the floor and the rest upright.

It will hold without securing to the wall but I would strongly suggest to attach this one on the wall better to be safe than sorry. This unit don't have solid back to hold all frame in place and if you load with clothes could go easily down.

PP FlatPack thank you for the information. Do the wall fixings come with the wardrobe? I am looking for an easy solution to store my clothes in a rented apartment and I am not sure if I can drill into the wall 🤔

I would suggest this one should be attached to the wall as there is no full panels on the side just metal frame. Better be safe than sorry.

At the beginning how do you get those white plastic things out. I have put two in upside down and need to get them out.

How do you remove plastic clips ? We wanted to remove a shelf and 2 of the clips broke off and piece is stuck in rail of shelf and the clips are stuck in sides just want to take them out -is there a trick to it?? Do you pinch and pull up and bottom out?? Or what-the new version has metal clips and work very simple

Could you please tell me how long were the screws you used to attach it to the wall? I would really appreciate it.

Screws was abut 8-10cm. But you may need longer ones it depend on your wall if is panel bricks or plasterboard. And depend on wall plugs you using two. Different wall different wall plugs. 10cm screws should be ok as long you feel the screw get good grip in the wall plug. Good luck and thank you for watching :}
