I'm Swedish, and here are some funny Swedish words I think you would enjoy: - Slutstation: means "end station" - Bra: means "good" - Gift: means "poision", as well as "married" - Farthinder: means one of those speedbumps that stop you from driving fast - Semester: means "vacation" :)

OH yeah totally agree 😅 I am born in another country, but i had lived in Sweden 4 very many years. Extra fun 2 watch this video with Ellen de Generous ☺️ Svenska är inte alls ett lätt språk, hennes försök att ha Svensk accent, d' var skoj 😄 Well hello from 🇸🇪
Just so people know: most IKEA furniture names are just as strange to us Swedes as they are to you. Also, Ellens accent is waaay off :) I still like her though.
MrDrunkDirector They are mostly made up, but the ones who do mean something are Swedish I think. So I guess they are not AS strange to us, but most of them are.
TitanGaming Maybe late answer but they do not just make up the words, read here! sploid.gizmodo.com/what-the-hell-do-all-those-ikea-names-mean-heres-the-s-1572392546 :D
+SebMeister Extremt sent svar... Men... Even those with real swedish names often has random selected ones (sometimes they are familiar to the actual product), it could be something like a lamp named "låda" (box).
It's interesting to see how many Swedish people came here just because they're Swedish x) I am as well, by the way, and as many other Swedes have previously stated in the comments, "slampa" isn't a curse word, it just means "slut" and people don't really use it that much (they usually say "hora", which means "whore", instead because those idiots think it's the same thing)
Also, I find it somewhat bothersome when people try to imitate a Swedish accent and it just kind of sounds German (and sometimes a bit Danish or Norwegian)
KreeZafi Exactly! Americans all seem to think that Swedish is just German spoken with a weird "up and down" tonfall. As one of the very few Americans who has bothered to learn Swedish (because I love Sweden,) videos like this make me cringe every time. Mitt uttal är ju inte helt perfekt heller men det är mycket bättre än de flesta Amerikaner!
Aja...detta var ju väldigt underhållande... Nu ska jag ta en bira titta på Svensson Svensson, någon som vill hålla mig sällskap? :D IN ENGLISH: SO FUCKING PROUD 2 B A SWEDE!
Just love watching this, being swedish myself xD Son of a slampa!! I'm saving that one for later hahaha I've never heard it being used that way before. ^^
***** And please explain how I am a moron, how could I possibly know that you speak swedish when you say that you aren't from Sweden. I think you are the real moron here.....
The emblem near the GoT characters (the rider on the horse in a red background) is actually the national emblem of Lithuania. It is on our money, litas, aswell. I love it when i see something lithuanian on Ellen. :D
+jojje4352 håller inte med, jag pratar flytande svenska OCH grekiska, grekiska är mycket mycket svårare!! Kanske uttalen och alla dessa dialekter som svenska språket har kan vara lite svåra att förstå/uttala.
Hahhahaah Omg. Äre bara jag som tycker att de e sjukt kul att kolla på amerikaner som försöker prata svenska?? Om det är någon som förstår ett skit om vad jag säger snälla svara😂❤️
That guy was prepared. You dont call IKEA customer service without first getting a machine, and then waiting 20 minutes or more for personal service. Speaking from experience :)
As a Swede who works at IKEA I would so have had to see the words spelled. From her pronunciation of Hurdal I would never have got it ☺ think it's a good thing she got an American on the line ☺
