With a glass tabletopper! Could put a rocks (That's what I put in my wood bowls. But, I collect) or, "pretty stuff" in the top bowl (Where I thought she was going with this!)
@@kellymac1212wood nd then glass at top with stones under table... You made me remember my childhood. Like we have this kind of table and i used to love it. But i feel like now white is so in these days. I am loving white these days. Even when there's that lilac trend going on, i was loving white a lot 🤍 Also, every person has different taste so it depends on person to person. ❤
@@cherrycordiaIWhy such an unnecessarily snarky response? Do you leave similarly snotty remarks under many comments in which people have expressed their opinions on other videos? This seems a fruitless endeavor to me, given that people watch around one billion hours of RU-vid content every day. You could cut your work down somewhat by only responding to the rude comments, and ignoring those that are inoffensive, like the comment that this small thread formed under.
I agree, I too prefer the wood finish. It could be stained a darker colour, and if it was going to be painted, I'd want a brighter and more eye catching colour. This is definitely a great idea for a D.Y.I. table and it's one that I'd like to try!
@@Dlrart it looks like the diameter is big enough to allow it, but anyway she has tools to flatten it a bit and attach the hinge to the flat part. You can see similar situation if you search the images of "globe bars", some of them have rims, but some are just plain globes.
Cheap has nothing to do with the looks of wood. They seemed to be made from bamboo. Which can have different qualities. Anyhow the wood was nicer to the eye and would have fit right in with the floor. The actual table surface painted and sealed would have perfected this DIY
Each of those bowls cost close to $20. So you spend $80+$20 on paint and other materials. On total $100. I would simply get a new side table at this point.
Exactly what I was thinking lmao. Its very nice if it's perfectly your aesthetic... but surely you can find a decent small side table for $100+? One that will likely be more sturdy than this one
I love how these simple quick diy tutorials always have power tools and equipment that make their tips quick and easy but my ass don’t have any of them.
Eu teria deixado o tampo da mesa com 1 dedo a mais de diferença e faria um bom acabamento na colagem para permanecer o padrão amadeirado que era MUITO mais bonito
I would have kept the natural wood material, laquer it a little darker and put a marble or glass countertop. I prefer things to feel expensive, but good job. Oh and also, this project cost you €100. If it was to save money it's a wrong project, but if it was to have a unique design; congratulations you did a good job 😊
For those that are mentioning the price of those bowls, you can just keep an eye out for them at thrift store and make the table. This is the easiest time to decorate a new place or refresh it bcz thrifted is the way to go when one wants to find "lived in" products for industrial, vintage, etc...
