The new Malm dressers come with locking mechanisms on all of the drawers so they don't open. I cant figure out what the heck is going on!!!

@@breannafields6198 I figured it out. Keep all the locks right side up. This way you can slide all the drawers in. The locking mechanism exists because it is a child safety feature to only allow you to open one drawer at a time. When one is open, the rest are locked. They don’t mention any of this in the instructions.

Is everything needed for the base assembly in box 1? This way if I just open box 1 first, can I get the whole base set up before worrying about opening up box 2&3 for the drawers

Even if you build this properly, the issue is with the center rod for the bottom of the drawers, they are very confusing and never understood the theory, they become loose and jammed and the rods get bent and drawer gets stuck, happened the very night i used it

It seems like in all the videos I watch with the Malm dresser, it doesn't look 63 inches wide for some reason. It looks shorter in the video. When I measure with my measure tape on the ground, the width of the dresser looks much wider than in these videos. Is the dresser actually 63 inches wide once built?

Hi! are box 2 & 3 the same? Haven’t started putting ours together yet, but ikea sent 2 of the #2 boxes and no #3. Are they the exact same or is this going to be an issue?

hi, yes they are the same. 6 drawers, 3 in each package 📦. first look on a box if there are the numbers 1 + 2 + 3 like in the video, if yes , then you need a box. but on the other side in certain countries ikea changes the packaging, in this case you will find the numbers 1 + 2 . Good luck

I wanted to get the 6 drawer one but I ended up getting two of the 3 drawer ones since it was on sale and it would be easier to move around if I wanted to switch them places around the room !! I set one up by myself but could bring myself to do the second one since the first one took me hours 😂 the next day my body hated me and I was sore AF 😅 now I have to leave the other set of drawers until my body stops hurting. Bottom line…..get yourself the 6 drawer one if you can 🥲
