Assuming your roborock is linked to home assistant, it might be a good idea to have the drawer open whenever the vacuum is not docked, so if you start it manually it will be able to get out and back in.
Just tested and works great! Now I wish I got a faster actuator because it's way too close of a race between the vacuum and door when cleaning starts 😆
I'm wonder if this could be done without a mechanism. If the garage door is lightweight enough and reflective in order to trick infrared sensors, I wonder if robot vacume would push door open?? I'm crafty enough to make the garage but lost with the mechanism.
The vacuum would probably have bump sensors you'd have to deal with too. Even if you got the vacuum to brute force it's way out, wouldn't the door then be closed so it wouldn't be able to get back in to charge?
