Wow!! This looks amazing! I will have to try this out. Can you carbonate any cocktail? How long do the sodas last in bottle? Can I make them a month in advance and still have them for a party? Thanks!!
Hi. This one should be good for a couple of weeks if stored in clean bottles and a refrigerator. You can carbonate clear cocktails. Co2 doesn't hold well to solids in a drink.
Random question, but have you experimented with clarified bitters before? I've just put an inverted old fashioned on the menu at my bar which I think would be right down your alley! Using milk to clarify angostura bitters to use as the base spirit, then combining that with a barrel aged simple syrup and a few dashes of gentian infused bourbon. Clarified angostura is one of the tastiest ingredients I've ever used, its bitters without the bitter!
I got it at a specialty store for winemakers, but I've posted a link to amazon in another episode with it (Caipirinha) - geni.us/LeuIeX5 (it's an affiliate link) Cheers!
I was going to say that we don’t have that smoothie stuff at IKEA in the US (much like the beer in the previous video) but I just looked online, and to my surprise, my local IKEA sells it! I know they have the syrups, so I’ll just have to substitute the teas (they don’t carry it here) and brave the insanely long lines that are the hallmark of the Brooklyn IKEA.
Then you should make some pre-batched cocktail from one of my latest episodes, just to fight the waiting in the long lines 😁 If you will try it out, let me know how you like it 🥂
Those IKEA cocktails both seems delicious, I really couldn't decide. Gin pairs with tea and citruses VERY well, but I love tequila... Too hard, you're too good to choose ;) Also, I finally made yogurt liqueur! I added slightly more yogurt as I like the sourness, and also tried a heavy-vanilla (75ml vodka + same amount of vanilla pod used for 250). I loved them and so did anyone who tried them :)
I read some books. Flavor matrix is one of them and it is super good. Although I didn't go to school for that so it's more or less learning by trial and error.
I’d love to see an episode on a carbonized mezcal and watermelon cocktail (easy and hard version)! I struggle with over diluting when creating watermelon drinks
