you should be impressed from whatever country you come from. Sweden was one of the best prepared countries in the world during the later part of the cold war. Dont know why being a norwegian would have any effect on your judgement considering they werent as prepared as Sweden in any respect during this time.
Sweden and Norway are brothers they share the same history and similar culture because Vikings also because you’re both Scandinavian and the fact that both your countries have been owned by Denmark and Sweden owned Norway and Finland, I don’t know if I am right because I am British so I don’t really know anything about Sweden and Norway
Where did the video go called Swedenwave which plays Home- Resonance in slightly heightened tempo and showed video of Sweden from 1910s to 1970s in chronological order, it was absolutley amazing! A nostalgic almost spiritual experience connecting me with my people, my nation and it´s history. Now it has been gone for about 6-10 months, can´t find it anywhere! :(
I have seen a lot of the things you see in this video. Ive seen a J35, J37, R142 "Ystad" (Im not sure if its in the video but the one R boat i found looked a lot like Ystad) and ive also seen a lot of coast artilery like Hemsö, Arholma and Fem Öre Fortet. The cold war is one of my favourite time periods in history, mostly because of the swedish aircraft, boats and coast artilery. Its just such an interesting part of history where every day you'd wake up in fear of war. I didnt live through it, im like 14, but i love learning about the technology. - Love from a swedish history nerd
