Hi Ikepod team, it’s great that you now changed the screw system so that the strap change can be done with only one screw driver! 😀 I was able to mount the additional grey strap I ordered from you in less than 5 minutes! The quality of your watches is excellent and I wish you even more success going forward!
The strap that was on my watch had been assembled the wrong way with the small screw away from the crown, so ended up tearing the strap a bit on one side, but the replace should be coming soon, so just a heads up to others that the screw might not be near the crown from the factory
THIS IS FOR V1 screws. (2 screws) If you own a V2 with ONLY ONE screw ( one part is flat, the other part not) so you can use only one screwdriver. Do not try to unscrew what is flat :) FOR V1 this is the video above. If you do not feel at ease to do it yourself or if you do not have the tools, do not hesitate to ask some help from your usual watch dealer, screws are glued in factory and could be tough to release. It is a 5 minutes work and easy when you are used to. Enjoy your Ikepod!
I own two original IKEPods, but I'm disappointed in the new IKEPod's rubber belt buckle because it feels so cheaply made. Attach the buckle a little more properly. Also, the original rubber belt has deteriorated, so I would like to replace it, but since the patent for the original design has been sold to Apple, I am not satisfied with the cheap rubber belt.
Hi sorry to hear, you can still buy vintage pin Ikepod strap on our vintage corner to fit your gen1-gen 2 Ikepods at 300 USD/CHF Euros, (patent has not been sold this is more complex)
This is a terrible design. The screw is attached to a bar that rotates itself when you try to unscrew the screw. The side opposite the screw is flat and doesn't have any way to stop it rotating.
Hi Ed, thanks for your comment, you need two screwdrivers or a fix base to hole one part. If the opposite side is flat this is only one part screw, V2 of your watches so you need only one screwdriver :)
@@ikepodwatches1794 Thanks for the reply. For further clarity my watch was a V2. All I had to do was loosen the screw and PUSH from the other side. This information needs to be surfaced to your RU-vid and Help\Support channels as its not visible anywhere.
