Sorry but the first game made me laugh way too hard. The lag, trying to assign blockers by putting valiant rescuers in front but keeps selecting the tokens, ruinous ultimatum and the rage. 😂😂😂😂

lol, i dont think i coudlve imagined a scenario where you cast whirlwind of thought, your nest, titanoth rex, and 2 ultimatums and lose.

This is why I love your channel. You like so much to experiment and try new stuff and get really exicted about it. Of course this is how you get better at Magic. Not by forcing the top tier decks, copying all the obvious stuff and drafting all the time the same decks, but by trying all variations and giving a chance to cards that just seems like a fun build around or a combination. A person like you would rock it on tournaments, were you really need to know the meta thoroughly - because you played it through and through. And even if it doesn't effect your ability at all (which I don't think is true) - it's so much more fun to watch and I'm sure - to play too. I did want to see the original combo that you thought of - Song of creation + Ominious sea - in action. I think it would have worked better on a UR splashing green deck with Lutri as the companion revolve around drawing cards and number of instances in your graveyard, with cards like Blitz, Pyroceratops, Spelleater Wolverine, Sprite dragon and cyclers, and only 40 cards. Maybe in another time. Game one was totally bonkers! How could the opponent pull that off? He had so many good cards, all the answers at the right time. Two rescuers is already a rare sight, but to follow it with everything else that came later on? And the ultimatum on top of it all? Was he having an aggresive deck? A midrange deck? A late game deck? Whatever you choose, you are wrong! He had all the decks! That guy hacked Arena. You don't have to build a deck around a certain theme when you can just command your top deck to bring you whatever card you currently need.

That game one with the 3 ultimatums and 2 sweepers belongs on mtg highlights more so than the cycling game. That was unbelievable.

Most entertaining deck that I've come across in this format - what a game 1! And what's great is that you drafted it not caring about your ranking but just to play good games. However, I seem to remember that you were in mythic but here you're in Platinum 1. A different account? So funny to see opponents missing land drops and getting absolutely crushed.

I knew you would get Yurion in the 3rd pack. Like damn. Last draft you got narset 3rd pack and you were already in jeskai. Same story with general kudros when you drafted humans. You really do have the magic touch.

Living the dream I also got to play the 8+ rares yorion pile was probally the most fun I've had in this format

That first game was an absolute rollercoaster! Quite possibly the wildest game of limited I hsve ever seen.

That first game was... something else! I've played dozen of draft games and I've never been boardwpied, and 2 sweepers in a deck is so unlikely!

this is the content i live for. Double ultimatum triple companion deck, love to see it.

This draft also showcased a lot of the ultimatums. I think of lot of them are underwhelming and underperforming. Paying so much mana of the exact different colors should give you a better edge, though I guess some of them, like Emergant, are much more efficient out of the limited context. So I guess you can't really blame Wizards - these cards are actually very good, just not for limited. You got these kind of cards in every set. For draft - I think Ruinous is the best. Eerie is a build around and hard to pull off. The answer is a lot of creatures that cycles. Blindly selfmilling is a bad idea since you might hit the Ultimatum itself, and it has the danger of being a completely dead card - even if you can cast it. Genesis and Emergant usually underperform since you can't reliabely have a lot of bombs in limited and sometimes you just sacrifice a lot of resources that you put into fixing your mana and casting those spells instead of actually building a reliable deck. I only seen one person cast Inspired - it was against you and it actually worked well, but like Genesis and Emergant, I think the deal with these ultimatums is that you already have a good deck on these colors and they don't exert too much pressure on your mana base - you don't take too much effort to enable them. Otherwise they seems like a liability. I don't think I would first pick them.

I cringed during the draft but was completely blown away by the games

during war of the spark, on a 10 player draft table, I drafted 20 of the 30 rares on the table, 15 made my deck and I stomped all opponents. this was very reminiscent of that deck. I got a rep for being a rare drafter, but when you can put almost all of them into a ridiculously strong deck, who cares. (the ones that didn't make the deck were worth about 30$, even better) #fivecolormadness.

Wow this deck was insane in a crazy way and a good way! So interesting to watch

This really makes me not like emergent ultimatum, if you could snag the neutralize and put it in your hand it would be a good card. But not having that option makes me super down on that card. It's kinda amusing that they are ok to print fires of invention for 3R but an ultimatum with 7 mana has all this text to prevent it being good (eg. it can't just draw the spells, it exiles itself to prevent abuse)

I find the game lags when you have a lot of permanents in play. Like 10+ lands and creatures on the battlefield.
