Nice, was waiting for a German campaign. Props to you good sir, in this age full of hot takes, quick cuts, memey music and mouth open thumbnails your cut and dry soild gameplay and excellent commentary have made me a fan. One of the few channels to remain in my list.

That was a really good landing. Very rarely we have seen some wobbly landings from you, with other aircrafts, that the 109 probably wouldn't like.

24 September, Diary Entry # 675 It feels as if the less I talk about any new airfield transfer the better. At least this one isn't a patch of grass. Despite being of Russian design, we also have to contend with it being undermanned, undergunned and under constant threat of Bolshevik attacks. I am told Ptomnik is the best in the sector. If the best in the sector is this dirt mess, then we can surely kiss air superiority goodbye. I’m dealing with fewer sorties with fewer planes, less frequently nowadays. I doubt the new transfers will even do much. Lets hope the new Jagdgeschwader has got a few hotshots so we can deal with those dreaded MiGs or Yaks. Even so, it feels like we can't even cover a solid kilometre of front nowadays. Base command is extremely reluctant to fly multiple sorties with our current fuel supply, let alone scramble to intercept those dreaded IL2 flying tanks. I hear the new G2s have way more bang for each litre. I’d damn well hope so. The F2’s I used to fly had to have 20’s strapped to the wing or nose to even hope to scratch those behemoths. If it wasn't for this damn bum leg I'd be out there downing Bolsheviks myself. Now I'm stuck in a tower, talking to each and every fighter. In and out. Air Traffic control does bring with it a lot of knowledge of the battlefield. Each squadron leaving, how many return… way more info than any crock high command officer or newspaper would tell me back when I was tustling with I-16s. My heart still sinks when I tell 4 planes to go up, and command 3 to land later… Sometimes I wonder if there’s a Ms Schreiber or Ms Fischer waiting for a husband to return home, only to hear his body couldn't be recovered. I wonder if that's what Migalovo control felt like when I didn't come back. I still have that stark white MiG burned into my head. Apparently high command says we’ll have total superiority in the air within a month. Same thing they told us last year, and now the Russians seem to bring back 3 migs for every 1 downed. Things seem as bleak as the weather I supposed. I’m starting to feel the chill in my leg again. Oh what I would pay to never feel the bite of this Russian winter again. Lets hope down here is hotter than up near Moscow. Bertram Keller (I’m basing this lore story off of a pilot I had in the Moscow campaign who was curiously shot down and badly wounded around the same time as Yuri was downing dozens of Messerschmitts. I’d like to think the MiG that shot me had a stark red arrow shooting down its side. Hopefully I can contribute to the Wolfpack extended cinematic universe in some way!) (I also had to rewrite this twice due to RU-vid thinking its hate speech. Hard to use the word “kill” and “Bolshevik” in the same sentence I suppose)

I love the 109. Great fun to fly.

I just started playing Il-2 and the first thing I did was buy the Ju-52 3/m my favorite bird of all time followed swiftly by the Italian SM.79 Sparviero

Really exited about this series! When I saw that you would be flying the 109, I will admit to being very exited. I think you flew her beautifully in this mission with textbook boom and zoom with some damn good aim. Also quiet concerned as the 109 is notorious for its tricky landings but again that was a very good landing prob the best iv seen you do. If my flying in warthunder has thought me anything, is that its always better to take a longer approach. You just give yourself more time to get the plane nice sorted for landing, with I think speed being the trickiest. It takes a long time to blead off speed and if you do it quick then you have to realign with the runway again. Obv iv you got damage then usually I find if you can get away with it a bit more speed is good nice generally its easier to control the plane. Look forward to more episodes :D

Could you always show the shot from first person too? I love the outside views of them too but sometimes you don't show it from the cockpit, idk I just enjoy seeing that perspective

Don't know if IL-2 shows it, but I do know that the Bf-109 had a bad issue with turning right and could be out-turned. I noted that in some of those righthand turns. Can't wait to see Yuri arrive to kick some butt over Stalingrad.
