France began the war with a collection of prototype aircraft and an indifferent production force in the nationalised SNCASO that was more interested in class warfare through work stoppages than maxing wartime output. The Polish pilots wrung the most performance from whatever types they were given to fly. We can only speculate about the potential of the Caudron had it been given opportunities for further development by Armee D'Aire .
Nice forced landing without gear. The Caudron C.714 was considered one of the few truly, horribly bad fighter planes of WW2. That didn't of course prevent Polish pilots from downing quite a few German aircraft with it in France in 1940, and actually liking the plane :)
Well to be fair this was two v one....one on one the 714 should have the advantage in a turn fight but it IS really slow so the 110 can probably just separate....
