Il Divo - The Road Ahead 

I feel like crying every time I play one of their songs. He was my favourite, beautiful voice. I don’t think anybody will be able to replace him. R.I.P Carlos.

Just 7 days after Carlos passed, I lost my mum to vascular dementia. (She died in my arms at 11:15pm on December 26th 2021.) Then, as if that wasn't bad enough.... Mum's older brother also passed on January 15th 2022, from Parkinson's and Alzheimer's diseases. That's 3 loved ones I lost within 1 month. To Urs, David and Sebastien I say this: You are all in my prayers. Thank you for including and acknowledging all of us at this devastating time. I pray that the music may become your healing medicine. Big hugs to you all!

There will never be another CARLOS the voice of these ANGEL. BUT NOW HE IS AMONG OTHER ANGELS.

Carlos was a one off with the most beautiful voice and soul. Nobody will ever replace Carlos, but the strength you three have showed since you started the shows is incredible, it’s was v upsetting to see you all so emotional, it must of been so incredibly hard to get back on that stage. I admire you three even more now, and absolutely love picking up the bits of the concerts on you tube, Steven has a wonderful voice and is fitting in well. 2006 was the first time I ever heard of il divo Saw you on Larry King live performing "without you" from the siempre album. I was fascinated by your arrangements, harmonies. Just everything really. Then funny enough. A few months later I stumbled upon live at the Greek DVD and instantly bought it. I rewatched that concert so many times. It was my escape. Carlos sudden passing was a complete shock and gut punch. It just doesn't feel real and I mourned quite a bit. I get choked up singing along with il divo And watching past performances. But anyway.. I just want to say thank you because of you, seb and urs.. Because of il divo I discovered a passion for singing and music I didn't know I had. #carlosmarinforever #ildivoforever

I feel your pain, and understand your grief. I lost my father last year, and it is hard. The decision to carry on, and carry on Carlos memory on the stage is a wonderful thing. Thank you for this beautiful video, David! Truthfully, I feel like I owed all of you guys a lot because your music had brought me through so many things. Your music had been a source of great support for me, especially way back then when I was bullied in college by other students. Il Divo had been such a good company through my darkest times till I found my strength again. I finally managed to get good grades and get the scholarship fund. I was even chosen as the best student of the year and I thank you all for that. Carlos will never be forgotten. And a big welcome to Steven ❤️

Oh my goodness I'm sad all over again can't bear to see you all so upset. Sébastien, I just want to hug you, tears were dripping on my phone seeing you so broken. Watching the tour so far I still see the sadness sweep over you at different times but u are now able to deal with it better and keep it at bay. Continued success to all of you, I think Steven is a genuine, kind & very sweet man who sings beautifully.

My daughter pass on December 11 2020, and this is her phone that I am using, With the death of Carlos I felt that she passed all over again my heart broken 💔 in two , would you believe he's on her playlist with his brothers they have voices that fill my home with love ,it is something she and I use to do, Those boys were the best thing that happened to the world, And my beautiful daughter is so sweet she will sing along with them I could still here her beautiful voice , Now singing in heaven with Carlos for the Angles. It was such a shock as a fan, I can’t imagine how you all managed. I guess you all came together to help each other heal. I still watch videos and can’t believe he’s gone. Stephen has stepped in to the baritone role as if he was born to be able to fit in. Although his voice is quite different from Carlos’ his style works.

Siento una tristeza inmensa que no se va, desde la trágica noticia. Esta bien que sigan cantando, pero la verdad ya NO suenan como antes. Para mí ILDIVO murió con CARLOS. Ya no es el grupo que amé. Y sumado a todo, el mal comportamiento con Carlos cuando estuvo enfermo, y la INDIFERENCIA con la Madre, muchos no perdonam. Estuvieron más desesperados en como seguir la gira, en vez de RESPETAR EL DUELO. ¿Saben muchachos, que duele todo el ERROR y la FRIALDAD qué tuvieron..?? I heard you and Steven at several concerts, for which the tickets, unfortunately, were bought before Carlos's death. And this is absolute emptiness, no magic, just good singing, like many other bands 💔😢 Sorry, but there is no magic anymore, just technically good singing.

Je trouve que cette vidéo - très bien faite, du reste comme toutes celles réalisées par David, - vient un peu tard. Plus de 5 mois après le décès de Carlos ! Elle aurait dû être diffusée avant la reprise de la tournée ou attendre que la vidéo soit réalisée avant de reprendre la tournée. Ce que je reproche à l'actuel Il Divo, c'est leur manque d'empathie avec la famille de Carlos, la précipitation avec laquelle ils ont repris la tournée, l'incorporation tout aussi rapide de Steven LaBrie (et je ne mets pas en doute son talent)... Il Divo ? Déception profonde... et tristesse immense... Incompréhension aussi ... Il Divo, pour moi, c'est du passé... et pourtant je les ai aimés dès 2005 et les ai suivis sur tant de routes du monde...

Carlos comentó muy poco tiempo antes de fallecer q si alguno de ellos desapareciese ya no sería Il Divo . Él no hubiera continuado con esa gira tan pronto o no la hubiera hecho Vosotros nada más morir Xarlos pedisteis el dinero pir adelantado a ña familia de Carlos . Un grande abbraccio ragazzi... Carlos era una cuore di Il Divo come lo siete stati tutti voi, non riesco immaginare Il Divo senza uno di voi...per me al inizio stato difficilissimo sentire Steven a posto di Carlos sentivo un tuffo nel cuore e le lacrime scendevano a fiumi mi dicevo che non va bene che Steven non ha sfumature di Carlos che solo un bravo baritono ma Carlos aveva delle sfumature, la potenza a tratti sensuale ( parlo di voce) che secondo me mancava a Steven ma poi mi sono detta che Steven non è Carlos che sono due persone separate, che questo tour e in memoria di Carlos non per dimenticarlo e poi come fan ho apprezzato moltissimo quando avete fatto la canzone Hallelujah con la sedia vuota illuminata da luci e con la voce di Carlos, stato un tuffo nel cuore e vedere Sebastien che non riusciva a cantare e Urs che cercava confortarlo...ragazzi questa canzone deve rimanere sempre solo così con sedia vuota illuminata e voce di Carlos... grazie che avete scelto di proseguire vostra carriera, non immaginavo la mia vita senza Il Divo ( dopo 15 anni che gli conosco) e anche se Carlos non c'è più rimarrà per sempre nei nostri cuori, con nostri cuori sentiremo la voce di Carlos e sono sicurissima che Carlos canta con angeli e approva vostra scelta sia di proseguire sia di Steven e vi manda cuori di amore cantando ..Lo spettacolo deve andare avanti...un abbraccio ragazzi dalla Italia ❤️

As much as I miss Carlos, I am also looking forward for the future of IL Divo. I wish this group would come to my life 16 years ago. Armonía, Urs? Ninguna ,es imposible. Steven La Brie canta muy bello, espectacular pero se nota q canta ópera. Las canciones de Il Divo nunca sonaran igual ,sin Carlos no existe Il divo ,igual q si faltase cualquier otro del grupo tampoco sería Il Divo ya. Thank you David for sharing this. I was so lucky to see you all perform in Bournemouth last year before he was taken ill ,a memory I will always cherish. Like you all absolutely heartbroken. Very difficult to watch. Like Sebastien, I've found it hard to listen to Carlos' voice since his passing. His voice was unique & special & created a connection to those who heard it that was tangible & enriching. But the sound was never more potent than when the 4 of you sang together in unison. There will be a new sound now & it will never be quite the same, but it will have its own power & character. I wish you well.

I started to listen to them when I was in junior high school. Where I used to listen Adagio & La vida sin amor in my phone. I love it the first time I heard them and keep repeat listening their songs. In my country I believe, there are not many opera fans. But I just keep supporting them and I am really glad you guys are being in my life and accompanying me through my happy days and hard days. Until one day I woke up, and saw the news... I couldn't be more heart-breaking. Thank you Carlos for everything, the songs the vocal the humor on stage. And hope Sebastian, Urs, David, Steven and all other staffs are in good health and carry on the performance throughout the world.

I love you so much guys 😭 I'm really grateful we get to heal together through this tour and by staying in touch through social media and such. I'm very grateful too for you guys deciding to continue making music and singing for us fans, it would have been even more devastating if you guys decided to stop after Carlos' passing. I saw you guys last month here in Guadalajara, definitely shed a couple tears, and Carlos is greatly missed, but it was also very heartwarming to see you guys live again. Ur, David and Sebastian are absolutely correct by saying that "no one" will sub Carlos Marin. Your audience is formed by women of all ages and backgrounds and we go to your concerts to see 4 male voices with great personality and charisma. The guest singer you brought may have a good voice for operas and Broadway's spectacles but lacks the charm and simplicity that your group has it. So sorry but he is not the one... I am pretty sure there is another baritone in this planet that will blend with you and touch our hearts again. May God bless you and have faith that HE will bring the right one... not to replace Carlos but a man that will make Il Divo whole again.
