I’m doing a full-face demo with Il Makiage makeup. You may have seen posts and ads on social media showing the Il Makiage foundation. Is it just me or are all of the posts by women under 35? Or even under 25? It’s time to try this makeup line on an over-50 face!

I told them to use older models when it comes to helping us choosing the propoer color for their foundation. It's hard to compare your skin with 20 year old's faces when you're over sixty. I completely agree with all your comments. Thanks for the tutorial, it was really helpful.

I’m 72 years young😂 and I have just started to throw out all the makeup that’s been sitting in my makeup bag. I mean a lot of old stuff! It’s not healthy! During the stay home and stay safe period we’ve all experienced, I wore no makeup. So I’ve been loving purchasing all new makeup from Il Makiage. I have to get the face primer; something I’ve never used. I started with just the foundation, brush and F… I’m flawless concealer. Immediately got hooked. I’m buying mostly neutral tones for eyes and brow and just watched your tutorial. Thank you! I love everything so far & the lip liner and sheer pencil lip colors. Brushes and baked blush are on the way. So far, very good! Age spots and fine lines in cheeks and above my lips are a real issue. So we’ll see. I do love their moisturizer and after 2 weeks, I see improvement. I’ve always loved shimmery makeup and I’m not ready to give it up, yet. I’m so excited to get all new Il Makiage make up and watching tutorials for applying on older faces! ❤

Thanks so much for your honest appraisal. I keep seeing their advertisements and came searching for some reviews/comments about it for mature skin. As an over 50 woman, I find that some foundations seem to highlight the wrinkles around my mouth and under my eyes. Really appreciated seeing how you work with under eye concealer, highlighter and the setting spray/powder combo. And completely agree with the less shimmer, more matte! Thanks 😊

I love your humor! 45 here and I've turned into my grandmother! Not experienced in wearing makeup. But with those creeping wrinkles I definitely need to get brightening powder you used. I actually like IL Makiage. I have this face serum from them as well. It is new and my face feels amazing. They may have listened to your recommendations.

I’m really grateful for this video. I had nearly given up on makeup all together and just used concealer everywhere. I’m 52 and a redhead that tans. I’m terrible at doing makeup and I always feel odd with colors. I used to use India Earth but it was 15 years old. My curiosity in Il Makiage has been piqued. Thank you so much for this video. I’m so tired of my younger friends doing my make up. I always look like I’m in drag, and not good drag. I have very little eyelashes and loved the extensions until I got an infection. So mascara is the thing I loathe the most. I work in a luxury field and feel that I could look better but foundations are not in my repertoire. I always accentuated my wrinkles, which I love. I see my mother and my grandmother in the mirror. My mother was beautiful until the day she passed. I feel they can be a reminder of her face. My mother and father brother had deep, dark skin with black hair. So I never really learned what colors work on me. Is that the strangest thing you’ve heard yet?

AWSOME tutorial! I have been on the fence about ordering this foundation. This has been helpful! I'm 55 and have combination oily/dry skin, still...fine lines appearing, and struggling with the concealer for the under eye area as well. 👍❤ I currently use IT foundation but wanting something that looks deey & settles less in my lines after hours of wear. I like how this foundation looked on you, still appearing fresh especially after hours of wear.❣

Wow, I think you look beautiful. I'm so happy so see an older woman doing a makeup video for their products. I am 56, and I appreciate the makeup tips you provided. I am currently using their face primer, and their self tanner. The tanner works pretty good, but not quite as good as they advertise, but well enough that I kept it. I do like the primer, though I don't think it blurs my pores like they said. I have not tried their foundation yet. I have been using Estee Lauder's Double Wear for 20 years, but I may want to try this though as you look gorgeous. You have great skin, so I'm sure that helped! :)

First, I want to say that you look beautiful! Even without the foundation, your skin looks practically flawless! I stumbled on your video after taking the Il Makiage quiz, looking for women of a similar age, to see how it did with "mature" skin. If you're any indication of how it works, then I'm sold! My only problem is, my quiz recommended the same foundation and concealer shade as you're using, and I'm sure that your skin is fairer than mine - I'm hoping that I didn't make the wrong choice.

I'm 58 and very inexperienced applying makeup. I just received the foundation, "woke up like this". As mentioned, it seems to be the only one recommended for all skin tones. I LOVE your video! I followed it step by step, it took me 3hrs to finish. 😆 I especially appreciate the look for mature women. "Overly mature",I should say! Ur beautiful before and after makeup. I love the fact that less is more for older women! Thanks a bunch! A fan for life!

Well, the foundation is worth a try, right? I'm in the middle of creating more foundation videos for mature skin, looking at it later in the day, too. I'll be comparing medium-coverage drugstore brands, medium-coverage high-end brands, full-coverage drugstore brands, and full-coverage high-end brands. I'm leaving out the Il Makiage from my currect tests + videos since I already did this one. Hopefully these videos will go live throughout March 2022, maybe into April depending on what else I come up with in the process.

Thanks for the public test. I'm 62. On day 2 with Il Makiage. Got the concealer, primer, foundation, inkliner eyeliner and their foundation brush. I think the eyeliner is Meh. KVD tattoo liner is much the same for a much better price. I LOVE THE PRIMER!!! (Reminds me of Urban Decay All nighter face primer). Foundation...what can I say? It's a good summer color, it's currently March.( I know they would fix it if I contacted them). Had a little break up around the corners of my mouth. Smile lines were excentuated and got darker for some reason. The dark wiped off with a tissue. By end of day my fine lines were noticable under my eyes. I have this issue with the products I use now too. I'm in customer service so I smile alot. The foundation brush is similar to many of the foundation/ concealer brushes I currently use. Going to use it through the weekend but unless something really WOW's me between now and Monday, I will be returning it all.

OH MY! In your 60s with no fillers or anything and you look like THAT!!!!!!!! I'm 41. I'm starting to get the deep wrinkles quickly. How on earth do you look so young!? I'm sure you have mentioned in other videos. However, this is the first video I've seen of you and within the first 50 seconds, I hit the subscribe button. What made me hit subscribe was what you said. " ...for a (mature) woman...age fabulously..." Those words. I watched all the videos of young women and I'm not sure why. Maybe I still feel young at heart. Hahaha :D I can't wait to watch more from you.

Welcome! It's a combination of my diet + skincare. It's good to find women who are older than you are who are obviously doing something right (without a facelift) and check out what they're doing. When I was 40, I was starting to get the vertical line between my brows (some people get 2 lines, called "elevens", but I have one). I had changed my diet when I was 38 - almost 39. And today that vertical line hasn't gotten deeper. Please - take a look around my channel. The playlists pull together videos by topic. Most of those are sorted with the most recent video on top of the list. (Sometimes YT fails there and I find out later the most recent video landed at the bottom - a coding problem over at YT.) I think the only playlists that have the oldest video first are the surgery-related videos to show the chronology. But skincare, makeup, anti-aging, food, health, etc., should be with the most recent on top.

Doing the mkeup tutorials with girls never gives good results.. lit by super flattering indoor lighting.. but I look cakey inside & plaster-y outside! * And good call on the supply issue - if a company only has 14 of 80 colours available? You don't have 80 colours available. Been there before where this super awesome product out, seems solid.. yet try to get it for weeks, months & is constantly out of stock.

I quit wearing makeup years ago because the makeup that I wore in my 20's-40's didn't work after 50. For some reason I decided to try IL MAKIAGE...I got shade 035 and it's been sitting in the box it came in for 2 months because I've been afraid to even try it. Thank goodness I found someone older than me who has tried the product I am 38 and everyone I see is way younger. Matte colors for me, I am not a shimmer person at all. Thank you

Thank you for mentioning us older woman need some different products than a 25 year old. Shimmer just makes creases and wrinkles show up! At least on me they do. Hopefully I’ll makiage takes your suggestions and runs with it!! I do love their foundation. I’m new to their makeup but would love to try more products based on older needs. I enjoyed this video. I just had my 58th birthday and I don't feel older either lol. I love the look on you. I have the foundation, concealer, and mascara. I am pretty pleased with them. I took my quiz closer to summer last year so I could probably use a different shade but otherwise they were pretty close with matching. Have a good day.

I have the same shade 35 as you. I’m 54, and I’m going to wear this foundation for a full week before I decide. I did my makeup this morning but I didn’t use a primer. I saw myself in daylight and my skin looked dry. My rosacea could be seen through the foundation, it seemed like a perfect match though. I’ll try it again tomorrow, but I feel like I have better foundations than this. I use Bobbi Brown Skin Foundation in N 42 and BB light bisque corrector and BB creamy concealer in Cool Sand. I fell for the hype. I’m post menopausal and feeling depressed with how I look. I’m starting to look more like my Mom every year as well. My husband always tells me he likes me with little to no makeup, but I looked washed out without it. At this time, I think I will be returning it. It’s just not right for aging skin.

I tried this foundation about a month ago and uave been happy with it. I just got the concealer yesterday. I am 65. My makeup routine is very simple. I do not use eye makeup because it all smears and smudges on me.

Hi took me forever to find you! Being 52 with dry aging skin, I appreciate you reviewing these products! All the reviews were with “kids” my childrens age, not helpful. So they recommended the same exact colors/type foundation and concealer to me. I feel as if the color would be too light, I have tan-ish color almost always (live in FL ride motorcycle) I don’t wear foundation much, mostly cover my bags under my eyes and wear a BB tinted moisturizer type product… I know my photo isn’t the best on here but do you think those shades will match me?? I’d really appreciate your opinion. Oh and @il’makiage listen to this lady! Us experienced women like matte-ier products!

Hi! I just stumbled upon your channel because I wanted to find reviews on the lighter shades of this foundation. I am 55 and don’t wear foundation a lot, but when I do, I have had no luck finding that perfect combination of shade and how it works with my skin. Heck, I’d even forego longevity if I just could get 5-6 hours!

Since you don't wear foundation much, you might like this L'Oreal Magic Skin Beautifier BB Cream bit.ly/3BjmGm2 It comes out white but changes color on your skin. Ulta and Walgreens have good return policies, so you can buy two colors and compare. I use the color "Fair".

I hope you like it! I didn't use a damp beauty blender to blend out the foundation (I was only using their products), but using a damp beauty blender before using the brush might result in an even better result.

I’m a week into my two week trial of the foundation and concealer (same shades as you) and am undecided. The foundation seems to oxidize a bit on me. I agree with you! Too many shimmer on make up! I am 36 and I already think that.. and I also did in my twenties.. I am a matte kind of woman.. and as a mom of a toddler and a baby I go for a fast and simple make up.. what you did looks great on you and it is actually a fast face.. and I want try that pixie peach and will prob recommend it to my sister as she has trouble with concealers

I think it looks great on you indoors. When you went outside, it definately looked a little more caked on and the finish wasn't as smooth. This concerns me when deciding whether or not to buy. I dont use concealer under my eyes to avoid the line show.. so I'm wondering if the outside look was because of concealer. In any event, you're so beautiful & I appreciate the feedback. Based on the outside review, I'm still on the fence with this product. Thanks for your honest feedback.

I just bought this on a whim. I didn't hold out a lot of hope because of issues with foundation in the past. I purchased the foundation & concealer. I ended up loving then. I am 51 and I admit I am not super experienced or knowledgeable about makeup. I also have unbelievable sensitive skin. This turned out making my skin look great. As I learn things might change but I do love it right now. My question for you is do you ever use bright color eyeshadows? Or do you believe because of our age they are off limits? Most of my life I have lacked confidence so did not play with makeup. I am enjoying getting into it. Some of the bright eyeshadow are amazing and I want to try them. I just don't want people to think I am nuts.

Hi Victoria! I have always been afraid to be bold in my eyeshadow too, and I just recently came to a strange revelation... play with makeup in the bathroom! Don't like it, wash it off! As silly as that sounds it was actually quite liberating for me to just have fun and is a great way to provide self care. If you like it and feel comfortable, go for it! :)

I find this makeup to be too heavy for my skin, it doesnt look good on my dryer skin. Have you tried seint? Its amazing for maturing skin! Either way your beautiful and this video is a great tutorial of the product!

Wanted to love these products. Watched videos, applied as instructed twice and both times my wrinkles and pores Magnified and made it worse especially on my forehead and under around my eyes (age 44). I have a strict facial regiment and never had this issue. So much so that my last wedding my friend goes “maybe you need to speak to my doc about Botox”. Well that was it…. Back to my “too face and smashbox” makeup. I’ve also read/heard from others over 40 the exact same problem. What’s the trick?

I wish I had watched this before my purchase because there are things I would have added. I just turned 60 and that was depressing to me. I also think I look more like my mom each day, but she was lovely, so there is hope for me yet. LOL I love the way you did your eyes. My eye issue is from my dad of all places, I have horrible under eye bags. I am packed for the weekend under my eyes. Any recommendations?

It's been a while. I think they sent them to me, which is normal for brands & influencers. For the Sheer, I only use the brush.

I unfortunately didn't find what I was looking for in your video. How was this concealer and foundation for fine lines? I'm finding most concealers and foundation settle in the fine lines and accentuate them now at my age. I would be interested in your opinion for this product in that regard.

I may have missed it but my problem is large pores with everything I’ve tried settling in them to the point I have little dots all over my face-how did this work with pores?

I've found the best way to deal with my own larger pores is, after dotting the foundation on my face & schmearing it a bit to spread it, I use a slightly damp Beauty Blender sponge to apply it. I keep dabbing areas of my face with the sponge until I can't see the pores. Then I go over it with some type of brush - either the Il Makiage brush, or the flat-headed brush frim ELF. I've demo'd this process in several foundation videos that are on this playlist: bit.ly/3ZROHx4 The Beauty Blender method works best with full-coverage foundations.

I’m going to order that pixi! I bought the ilmakiage.. I do like some things about it and some not so much. I do like the concealer and the primer.: the matte finish foundation not so much. I feel like it makes my skin dull looking.. any tips? I do like that my mask doesn’t collect the foundation like my IT! I have to wear one at work. Maybe I’m doing it wrong?! Ps just turned 50 in Dec.:

I'm running low on my Pixi Corrector, and, of course, now due to supply chain shortages, stores that usually carry it don't have it. But I did find it at Pixi (you can find it here: bit.ly/3HyJ8tG ) and they have a fairly low minimum to get free shipping. I ordered 2 of the Correctors and one of their Lip Icing in the color "Cookie", and that gave me free shipping. For the Il Makiage matte finish, one suggestion I've heard of is, after you've applied your regular skincare products - ending with a full-spectrum sunscreen - apply 3 drops of facial oil (1 drop on each cheek & 1 drop on the forehead) & massage that into the skin. (Some recommend the face oil from LaMer, but that is very expensive. You might try this one from The Honest Co - bit.ly/34Xrxxq ). Then they suggest adding a bit of this primer from Physician's Formula - amzn.to/3GYeCsp - Massage it into the skin. Then wait at least 15 minutes before starting your makeup. About the masks, email me at glory@gloryb-tv.com and I'll give you a solution for that.
