Dario Polli è un professore di fisica presso il Politecnico di Milano. Appassionato di divulgazione scientifica, si occupa da 15 anni di ricerca scientifica sperimentale costruendo laser che generano flash di luce brevissimi le cui applicazioni spaziano dalla ricerca su materiali innovativi alla biologia, fino alle applicazioni mediche. Ha pubblicato circa 80 articoli scientifici su riviste internazionali. Nel 2015 ha ricevuto un finanziamento dalla Comunità Europea per sviluppare un innovativo microscopio basato su laser a impulsi per studiare le cellule e identificare i tessuti tumorali.

Dario Polli is a professor of physics at the Polytechnic University of Milan. Scientific diffusion enthusiast, he has been working for 15 years on experimental scientific research, building lasers that generate very short flashes of light, that are used on innovative materials and in the biology and research field, including medical applications too. He signed over 80 articles, which appeared on major international reviews. In 2015 he was granted by the EU for developing an innovative microscope based on laser impulses, in order to study human cells and identify cancerous tissues.
