The He 219 Uhu was considered the best German night fighter in World War II, but only a few were built. There was a reason for this in politics: Heinkel had further developed and built the type at his own risk, although he had instructions not to do so. The design of the He 219 began in 1940 as a multipurpose fighter, and it wasn't until late 1941 that the type became a real night fighter. The first of 10 models made its maiden flight in November 1942, and orders for 300 He 219 A machines had already been received, including 130 He 219 A-0 machines. The first model was the He 219 A-2 and more than 150 He 219 A machines were built in variants up to the He 219 A-7 for limited use from mid-1943 on with various engines and armaments. On June 11, 1943, Major Werner Streib shot down five Avro Lancasters in a single mission, and in the first six missions of his unit, 20 enemy aircraft were shot down. Well, 7 years. That game is Il-2 1946 from 2006 and the Great Battles series started with Il-2 Battle of Stalingrad in 2013. If you mean graphics in general, then it would be 14 years from the time of your comment
Да.Немецкий ночной истребитель Хейнкель-219 Уху (Сова),был лучшим двухмоторным поршневым истребителем Второй мировой войны.Максимальная скорость 700 км/ч,и четыре 20мм пушки.
Thank you so much for showing the cockpit layout before takeoff. So many videos leave this feature out. Was this aircraft ever used in Norway, maybe for reconicense?
I love this plane but really, a night fighter with radar in daytime combat with a twin engined allied fighter? The Owl was one of the best night fighters and quite successful in shooting down allied bombers.
Hello Steven; It's me again, just to thank you for the help you have provided for me in trying to make my 1946 to look and work better...!! In fact, I installed the 4.12.4 version and was immediately blown away by the amount of effects contained in that version, and not counting the all the additional planes and maps, and....Wao..!! I really appreciate your support. I'm also reviewing the link you provided here: ( ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ruJ_MYbrePA.html ) I'm still enjoying my new update as it is, until I understand a little more facts about 'mods', then I would try to jump to the next step...so far I'm having a blast with my new 1946, I actually replicated your M-163 Komet mission and I was amazed..it looks the same..! (with exception of some hard hitting sounds, that are included in your video, but are not shown in mine..) You are a great guy....!! Thanks again...!!
+Steven 197106 ..Hey..!!! I appreciate this very much..! I have been playing Sturmovik 1946 for years, but I have never had a way to make a video-clip of my missions... Thank you!
Well, in this case it´s a game where you can choose, but in ww II, there were many occasions when the luftwaffe attacked allied bombers with night fighters, so what´s so strange?.
Yeah, a 38 pilot could drop combat flaps and whip around on the Uhu's tail in no time. But it's still cool to see what it looks like in game and I love the night fighters and really appreciate this video for that reason.
@@megamonkeyblaster3627 There's something known as "skill". You may have a better aircraft, but if your adversary knows what he's doing and you don't, he'll win.
Dictor Clef I agree, and that's evident when you're flying against people online. I was referring to the AI only, and the earlier versions at that. I haven't been involved in flight sims in years- no time these days😕
cool video we made the 1/32 Revell HE 219 version fly ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-3dZ72paA69Q.html Of course we had to replace all plastic parts with foam and carbon, install RC and motors...be shocked! Flying HE 219 based on the Revel Kit. Servoboy
German night fighters flew at the end of the war on day missions when there was a shortage of day fighters, as well a ferry flights from the factory.and for picking up mail and some parts, you more likely to get back to base in a 219 or a 110 than a ju-52,RAF tempest have record kills of the 110 and 219 on day missions, not many.
SOoo beautiful plane lines...as well a "very efficient" killing lives and destroy just as the british and yankees 'bombers and fighter did all over Gearmany..I do mean over inocent civilian people...hundred of thousen of them..of them as you and me, and them : spanish as I am, german, rusian, rumanian, greeks, italian, New zelands( my kiwis ones ).... ...everything, everywhere, all the time.......
