The Apache is like a stealthy tiger and the HIND is like a big intimidating lion. You see a lion in the wild and you freeze in fear as it runs towards you, knowing it will kill you. If you see the tiger, your dead already.
I assure you...the Mi-24 is much more feared than the AH-64 will ever be. It has seem more conflicts and not only killed, but transported more people than probably any other helicopter. Not only that, but it holds the world record still for its top speed.
Though these machines don't share the same designation, both are just insane! The Apache is a deadly dragonfly, while the Hind is a beast, just a beast!
Supreme video! Thanks for posting! Sounds of Mi-24 are astonishing - engines, main rotor and roaring tail rotor. And you can see how much Mi-24 is heavier than AH-64.
Hind all the way never much of a fan of the Apache, numerous problems with the Apache and most likely the Hind also. But the the cooler looking and meaner sounding of all but the Mi-28 Havoc. Good choice.
The Apache looks more advanced, but the Hind looks outright intimidating and more powerful. They're both incredible aircraft and it's so hard to choose!
@@1quickster distegarding that first production Apache was built in 1995... it didn't have it's famouse radar until 1997 (mainline was AH-64A which can shoot only in direct line of sight, not BVR). Regarding speed, apache is slower, so it can't escape fight if Mi-24 crew would insist, so it could only "involuntary engage". Also apache can't catch up with Mi-24 if it's crew would avoid engagement. Regarding comparable armor... apache also more fragile. So it's not so obviuos and not so "easy" as you brag aboug it.
You're right ! The sound of the Mi-24's propellers is more pleasant and melodious !! If the Mi-26 had retracted its landing gear, it would have looked more serious !
Luckily Indonesian Army were operating both Apache and Hind, although it's the export version of Hind (Mi-35P). Combination of the terrifying looks of Hind and the advanced technology of Apache, give them an advantage for ground troops to advancing their position. It's only that Indonesian Army still lack of ideal amount of both of these Apache and Hind, and also for heavy transport helicopter.
Вы хитрые ребята сравнили вертолёты разных классов а сравните свой Апач с КА-50 Чорнай Акула или с КА-52 тогда совсем по другому будет , у КА -50 диапазон работы пушки намного шире.
Apache is an attack helicopter with 2 pilots. And the Mi-24 is an attack transport helicopter, 2 pilots+ 8 soldiers in the cargo compartment can carry.
Mi64 Hind D is faster than Apache. The Mujaheedin only able to shut it down with Stinger missiles in Afghanistan. .50cal and even Russian RPG cannot even put a scratch on it. Hughes Helicopter Division the original genius who created the Apache originally built the Apache a real flying tank that even a 20mm cannon will have a hard time stopping it, but the Pentagon discontinue using such armor for the Apache. Same reason why they discontinue the development of Sikorsky Comanche Stealthy Recon Attack Helucopter and favors a Bell Helicopter concept of lesser tech than the Comamche. Stupid US Govt.
@@raimrinat4730 вот так и может. И то что заложено, не значит, что это использовалось. От десанта в кабине отказались практически сразу. В Афгане даже подвески все никогда не вешали. Он и так перетяжелён.
Not sure if these would ever go head to head...I feel that the alligator is more fitting in a versus scenario. Having said that, the HIND held its own quite impressively and I say that as an Apache fan.
Apache for agility and maneuverability and able to shoot blind from line of sight, exceptional radar, and hind for capacity and and dual role assault, attack.
Apache is almost two times lighter than Hind and naturally sharp maneuvers are easier for him. Mi-24 is heavier, control is also not easy and you need a great height for tricks. However, if the pilot is experienced and the management allowed a little risk, then he will do all the elements of aerobatics.
What air dynamics do you mean? That one which prevents apache from being fast? It's air dinamics of brick with enough powerful engine. Mi-24LL can fly 405 km/h. Production versions of Mi-24 fly at 310 km/h. That what is called air dynamics. Agility of Apache (at low speeds) has it's cost: it's lighter, less armored and more fragile.
Love these two helicopters for different reasons. But the hind was a ingenious idea, from the back end of the 60's. But could you imagine what is achieved on the battlefield, if both choppers worked together, frightening. Moving and protection of ground troops against armour Andy no need for any other support aircraft.
