@@arukisato9023 Mai has weak vocals but she's pretty so she gets to pass round after round. Constantly nasal or pitchy but her edits are always great so they clearly want her to debut
@@avawalton1798 she improved and has such a good personality. yes, here she definitely is the lacking one but in the later performances you can tell that she is grinding and her work is paying off. no hate to jiyoon, i think her vocals are so so charming!
@@sofi.da.stethic0329 I personally dont think she improved from this performance. She has great stage presence which is getting shown more but about 80% of the girls can out-sing her and thats being generous. When it cuts to Monika being happy after her out of tune singing I cringe every time. I really want her to do better so her debut will be deserved
@@avawalton1798 i feel like that's because of her lack of good parts. in panorama for example, she chose panorama instead of whistle bcs yuju was going to go do whistle. she never said that she wanted to, but she gave in because she felt bad. however, in her parts now, she executes it nicely imo. but i respect your opinion.
Don't know why everyone is keen on debuting mai when she was the only one who ruined this performance. There are far more talented contestants in the show. Please vote wisely and dont complain later when they cant do proper encore in music shows.
@@kpoppy9635 yeah i agree, even tho mai is my number one she is the weakest vocalist from the drama group but the whole show she’s definitely top 5 vocalist. That’s why i hope the whole drama group debut + saibi + gyuri + fuko ( and possibly juwon ) and we have a complete group
Not to be pessimistic but we're in for a rollercoaster ride of bad techniques and "deep" voices if they debut with such skills. My ears hurt so bad and the comments even more. If they're contenders give them easy songs that don't rely on vocal techniques, completely flat. That's a crime against humanity and Aespa.
@@Sahitraaa1324 if you've been in the kpop scene since 2nd gen it's hard to accept such skills. Years ago, even trainees had higher skills compared to trainees of this generation. Of course they could get better since technically they ARE training, there are some talented elements between them not gonna deny that but i didn't like this performance, the chorus felt like it was being sung by the army. Such deep voices ruined the aspect of the song. It would've been better if they gave them songs based on their skills and range it would've showed their colours more. It's all my opinion though, you can take it with a grain of salt.
@@justauser7255 1 - Just because the old candidates sang better does not mean that the next ones will be the same. 2 - I didn't like the chorus either, but we can't say they were bad, after all it was the first performance. 3 - Competent judges are evaluating the trainees so I don't think comments will affect these groups. 4 - This next generation has great tools in its favor so I don't think they will be bad, just like with Universe Ticket.
