You are such a lovely young woman--inside and out. Despite your trials, your light shines so brightly. Congratulations on your school acceptance. Very exciting.
You're a warrior, I've seen your videos after you your surgery warriors, you're here for a reason! Congratulations on getting accepted into the school! Thank you for sharing! 💙
I am new to your vids, and you just made a statement on this one that I have said myself so many times: "The mind is a powerful thing!" I too had a cancer scare two years ago, in my mouth, above my front tooth, My situation was rare also, although I am a senior citizen. I had, and still have to psych myself up, and remember that I am not dead, I am not dying yet, I have today, and I need to try to stop worrying about the future, and enjoy today. So far, my tests have all been good. I too had to have what my surgeon described as "a big surgery for a very small place,' but he wanted to make sure I was healed. You are so wise for your age; feeling sorry for yourself will not help:; channeling that inner strength and thinking positively is the best medicine, You go, girl!
So much good news. Glad to hear. That is so thoughtful to bring the fruit ect. to your appointment...I bet that is appreciated. Sounds like things will be going so well for you in 2022. Thanks for checking in.
Sending love & prayers💕💕💕 You are so strong. I stumbled upon your channel & followed your Cancer journey. What a beautiful family you have. So loving. Congratulations on being accepted to Ultrasound school! 🎉🎈🎉🎈🎈🎈
Congrats on your acceptance. It sounds like things went well with your check up. I recently had some personal disappointment and I too believe the mind is powerful. I say the Serenity Prayer multiple times a day.
Hey Vanessa! Thanks for the update, & you’re right its a tough journey your still going through but stay POSITIVE. You got this 👏🏼 it will get BETTER 💗 congrats on being accepted to the program 👏🏼👏🏼
I just know you are going to be fine. Everything is scary when you are this close post surgery. I have my next colonoscopy Jan 5. I have told you mine is a non cancerous growth that keeps coming back. I really don’t want the illeostomy surgery when it can be removed with a colon scope. It could be a blockage but not as long as we stay ahead of it. I want you and your family to have a very nice Christmas!
Congratulations on your acceptance 👍 I had my reversal surgery last July 9th 2021. And I’m still having some bowel movement issues. My doctor says it’ll take time. But I wish you the best on your multiple journeys. And happy holidays and a healthy new year!🙏🌹🌹
May you be able to take a brain vacation for a while and not worry. I know you miss your Mom. Enjoy the memories she left you. Praying your holidays will be bright and you do great in your ultrasound endeavor. God bless you and your family. Amen.
I'm happy to hear that you continue to recover well. What is the cause of your bleeding? Or, is the doctor confident to wait until your colonoscopy in March?
Great news on being accepted!! Moving forward! Wooot!! I’m so sorry about the bleeding!! I take it he felt it was post op inflammation or mucous? If he doesn’t feel the need to move up the colonoscopy, that sounds like it to me. I’m no doc tho. Still, it can be alarming for sure when that “shows up”! Have a very Merry Christmas Vanessa!! ❤️💚
It takes so time to heal. Be careful what you eat. Stay on soft foods. You should never eat pineapple, beans, grapes. Anything with skins. It irritates the intestines. No steak. Chicken is best.
On May 19,2022, I had my ovarian cysts removed through Da Vinci surgery but they burned my butt so I woke up with a temporary colostomy. Fast forward to last wednesday July 13, my colostomy was reversed. It’s been a week but my stomach still hurts when I eat food. They stay in the “colostomy” area as if stoma is still there and i feel a kicking bumping sensation of them wanting to go out. Im taking ibuprofen for pain and gabapentin. It sucks 😩 my tummy hurts right now i feel like i wanna poop but there’s nothing to poop so idk
@@VanessaLPZ1 they burned my rectum so i couldnt poop thru my butt :( im all well now. Just that Im afraid to go back to lifting weights because of possibility of hernia
You deserve the place in the program for your dedication and the personal journey you can share. CONGRATS!! The bleeding could be a hemmroid… or… it could have a bit of colitis. Be careful w/ the amount of fiber you consume. I have my Mom Who passed some blood. Hers turned to be more serious than I’ll bet you’d is. I react to the harshness of the Prep gor Lower endoscopes, so I go the Mg Citrate way.. & lots of clear fluids… much more tolerable than the Prep. I lost do much/ many of my trace elements I was ice cold and almost feeling like I was walking dead! So this recipe worked for me!! Given by the GI MD…… Wish you the best! You’ve been thru the worst of it!! Lots of love your way!! M
I need a colonoscopy again very badly but my first one I was so traumatized by having to drink that prep stuff. I know I wouldn't be able to even get it past my lips.. I asked for the pills last time but the gastro dr said they don't do pills anymore. I have not gone back. If I had a Dr that let me have the pills I would have gladly gotten another. Now with Covid and such I don't want to go to hospitals or dr.. I know I have to get over it but only if I can find a Dr on my insurance thst I would do the pills instead I wouldn't be to hesitant.. glad you got the pills and you are so BRAVE. I just happened to stumble into your channel when your journey started with the cancer and was happy to hear your doing so well. Congrats on the ultrasound job sound like fun and you will do grrstn
If pills is not an option I have also had to do miralax which doesn’t taste like anything at all I drank it with Powerade. Hopefully that’s an option too.
@@denben8530 It is my understanding that Su Tab (the pills Vanessa has) started being used in January 2021; in fact it wasn't covered by my insurance but they gave me a coupon; it ended up costing me $40.00. I'd ask dr again; it seems new to me. That drink is awful and if you don't mind swallowing pills (its about as big as a multi vitamin; very slippery) it is much more manageable.
The prep liquid I had to use was not bad, it was sort of orangy lemony flavoured, and only about 1/2 cup 2x. Lots of other regular liquids like water besides that. Maybe it just depends what type your doctor wants you to use.
So happy you got accepted! That is amazing news! So he wasn't concerned with the bleeding? That's what it sounds like. So happy for you! You Christmas is going to be very merry this year! Sounds like they have a new protocol for getting ready for the colonoscopy? Better to take those pills than drink that liquid! Don't you think?
