In the Amateur Photographer's Handbook, Aaron Sussman opined that for portraits, women photograph better with panchromatic film, and men photograph better in ortho. (It's a wonderful book and full of advice like that.)
I came here to mention that, too. During a class series on photochemistry back in the early 1970s, our instructor discussed using Ortho for men, especially older men, as it EDIT accents the "masculine" ruddy complexions caused by sun exposure, tobacco use, and heavy drinking (this was the EARLY 70s lol).
I have a roll of this film in my fridge and I've been waiting to try it for portraits. In the meantime I have been trying to find videos that fave me some idea if what the results would be and I have to say yours is the best by a long shot. Thanks for the great review I'm going to check out your other videos now.
Yes. Pretty much any modern film that isn't labeled "ortho" or "infrared" or something else is going to be panchromatic. In fact, many of the infrared films will give basically panchromatic results unless you use a special filter to cut out all the light except infrared.
