I have been using that serum for years, and absolutely love it! But I find it looks best (you get more coverage) if you just apply it with your fingers. And you definitely don't want to use any sort of primer or moisturizer underneath this stuff; your face will look like an oil slick, even if you don't have oily skin.
Their lip products are what initially shot them to fame, so I highly recommend looking into those. I use their concealer on my super dry, sensitive skin and it is perfection (a little goes a long way). I’ve heard great things about their bronzer as well. This is a great brand for folks like me who don’t normally wear makeup.
This is my favourite skin tint/SPF product - I'm up of 50 and doesn't sit in the lines and nice evening out without looking like you have lots on your skin - LOVE! Thanks for this review.
How does it do in the fine lines around the eyes and mouth? I've quit using foundation, and started using Dr Jart serum. I like that it's lightweight, and just evens out my skin tone, but it settles in the wrinkles. I also have very oily skin.

@@AzDesertFoxx I love the mascara as well, especially because it elongates my lashes and separates them beautifully however my only qualm with it is that it is not water-proof (or may be the one I bought was not water-proof), gives me racoon eyes🙂

Wayne, could you please weigh in on the Christian Louboutin new balm foundation? It’s actually called a “foundcealor” . Some have demonstrated it to look skin-like but cover hyperpigmentation, even freckles. I respect your opinion above all the “influencers”. I got a sample of this at Sephora last summer, and it does indeed give a very nice finish. My 56 year old skin is still normal/slightly oily, so the serum was a tad glowy for my skin. I'm going to try it again on a cold day since I think it will do quite well then.
I use the serum as my summertime foundation, but after some sunless tanning, I pulled it out on a cold, windy day. On my combo skin, it is a bit glowy-er than I like, but I topped it with a bit of powder in my t-zone and it still looks great. Try again!
Ilia is my jam!! It's mostly all I wear, and it's beautiful! I have two formulas, but I use the Serum most often, and I love it! It looks gorgeous on you - supernatural!
I’ve been using this serum on my oily/combo skin for a long time and absolutely love the natural finish of it. I normally apply with my fingers and then finish with a beauty blender and a little powder. Such a great product that lasts all day for me, can’t recommend enough!
I really like this serum foundation! My skin can get oily so I definitely need the powder. The shade range is great, I use ST3 Balos and it blends in so well!
Ok, so I had the serum and thought it was great - BUT it smelled absolutely rancid and I couldn’t buy it again - and I don’t mean like perfumey, I mean like chemical waste - did I have a bad batch or has anyone noticed the scent is unpleasant??
Since they are a clean makeup and skincare brand, they don’t use any fragrance to mask the scent of the products. So all my clean brand foundations smell rancid but they haven’t gone bad, that’s just how the products smell before all the fragrance has been added to them.

Mascara wand is great. Beautiful liquid eyeshadow, especially the green. Serum looks beautiful, but smells like a trash can and doesn’t dissipate, sadly can’t wear it.

I just bought that foundation and I love how it looks, but the smell is awful! It kinda smells like faint dogfood smell or something. The smell doesn’t seem to fade throughout the day either. Has anyone else noticed this? Maybe mine has gone bad ?

I was hope Wayne would use at least one of his own brushes, he released his line recently. But no. He blended a blush with a finger and used Ilia cosmetics products exclusively. I was disappointed.
Your barnacle & possible baby barnacle, look like ingrown hairs, I was barber for many years, and would see this from time to time, it tends to happen as you get a little older, try exfoliating those two areas a little more than the others, might help. Ilia makeup is gorgeous.
The other great thing about this brand is that everything is clear of phenoxyethanol which many people react to! Super common ingredient in most makeup.
I'm a clean beauty skeptic so I've only tried a couple of things from them. BUT. The liquid matte shadows are amazing - they go on easily, you get enough time to blend them out before they dry, they layer/build up well, and they dry down to a powdery finish. The moss green is a unique color that looks amazing on, too. The lavender/dove grey and taupe have also become staples, but they're a bit pricey for "clean" with a limited shelf life.

I enjoyed the concealer but not the serum so I'll have to try your technique. I also work in healthcare and have to wear a mask and a lot of the product ends up on there rather than being absorbed by my skin.
I got sent a mini cream blush as part of a birthday present from Sephora. I love it! You can use it as a blush but also a great lip product. After this video I am going to save up for the serum foundation!
ILIA is one of my favorite brands. My favorites are the limititless mascara (2-sided brush), true skin serum foundation and the powder bronzer.....but I have more so I can actually recommend almost all of the products, + clean beauty😊
I’m looking for a really good mascara and after reading your comment I went on their website . Somebody wrote on their website that the Limitless mascara has changed and the wand has too and isn’t as good as before ( They showed two pics one before and one present) . Do you think it’s still worth buying despite the change?
I have oily skin and I really like this foundation serum. I have discoloration on my skin. So what I do is put this on with my hands and then I cover with a bars powder. Does the trick in giving a very natural light coverage for daily wear. I think it also improves my skin texture. It feels healthy.
Love Ilia products- especially lipsticks. The blush is amazing, but product I. The package is very small. I ran out of blush in a month and I don’t even wear makeup everyday
I was disappointed that the foundation oxidized so much, so fast. They suggested (their) primer, but if already spent a bit of money so... Tried another primer, but that didn't work bc it was silicone based, tried another that was water based... Somewhat better... Concealer is decent, but I'm not spending any more money on their products.
I love The brand, especialy The ingridients! But The serum to me is to oily. (I’ve tried it once) The Bushes are very Nice! But they wear of quickly. I just use The brand’s eye primer before eye shadow.
I recently received a birthday gift from Sephora which included Ilia mascara & blush. I’m obsessed with both! Fantastic makeup & I can’t wait to buy the blush & other products! Thanks for this video as you just reinforced my feelings about Ilia being wonderful makeup 💄
I love ilia products but the SMELL of the serum tint! I think it smells like cow poo! Lol.. i also got a few breakouts from it after using it for a couple days in a row. I love their lengtening mascara though its literal perfection with zero clumps, flaking or transfering and still washes off fine at the end of the day. Their blush is good but i wish they had more variety in shades, and the powder is sooo amazing! Best out there!

Thanks for this review! This is one foundation I picked up over the summer that actually makes my skin look better once I take it off. I need to use a powder afterwards, but so far really pleased with the performance of the product.
