thats because you dont speak spanish. If you could watch any other spanish interviews its all about hard work, dedication, passion and giving your 100%. The english ones are for selling PPV and make people "hate him" so the revenue is higher.
he has to sell the fights, sadly talent is not enough in this sport, and him not speaking english as his first language makes him a little cringe maybe, but when he is out of camp, speaking in spanish interviews he is extremely respectful.

Not gonna happen unless Topuria moves up to 155 to fight a contender. Islam already gave two shots to Volk who was a 145er. There's nothing for Islam to gain doing that again, maybe Islam might move up to welterweight. Topuria barely just began being featherweight champ.

Alex Peria still deserves fighter of the year, he was more active and he saved multiple cards are they would have sucked. It was a great win and he was very classy in victory. But i think Alex still deserves fighter of the year..
Pereira is great and i love him, but considering on who Ilia knocked out, and the fact that he did it in one year.. yeah that’s very impressive.. i’d say they both are the best of the year.

Yeah, but that being said look at the guys that Poatan knocked out and then look at what Ilia has done. Topuria just knocked out arguably two featherweight GOAT's in one calendar year while also being the first guy to knock Holloway out. Ilia enters this conversation with solid arguments.

ilias 2 wins agsint Volk and Max are better than pereiras entire lhw title wins (Jiri x2, hill, khalil) so he's defo fighter of the year purely based on merit and resume, if you wanna talk about quantity and popularity and what Alex has done for the ufc (saving cards, etc) then he's the fighter of the year
