Shorshe Ilish or Hilsa fish in mustard paste curry, is a classic Bengali fish curry. In this recipe the most important ingredients are mustard seeds and mustard oil which gives the gravy a nice distinct flavour, the ilish fish a nice aroma and the gravy a nice taste.

You need:-
Hilsha Fish- 4-5 pieces
Soak mustard seeds in water for 1 hr-
* Mustard seeds each (Yellow and black )- 1 tbsp
* Salt - 1/4 tsp
* Green chilies- 2
For Gravy:-
Mustard oil- 4-5 tbsp
Yugurt- 2 tbsp
Turmeric powder- 1 tsp
Red Kashmiri chili powder- 1 tsp
Sugar- 1/4 tsp
Salt to taste
Green chili- 4-5
