Hi. I attended IGS from 1956 to 1961. I was amazed and surprised to see the black and white photograph taken from the school playing field with the tennis courts and school in the background. I took this photograph with my very first camera in 1960. My nickname was 'Picky' so Hi to all my old school pals.
I recall Miss Spedding (the school's music teacher) writing the school song about 1964. I like the alternative version very much! The reference to 'Bath St. chippie' brought back memories of being expelled from the Grammar School for eating chips (in Bath St.) one lunchtime. Hopefully 'Boozer' (Mr. Beer) suffered a long and painful death. Sadly I truly mean that.
There's no pleasing some chemistry teachers ... I think I must have been a year or so after you, but this brought back some memories, good and bad. I didn't think I had any good ones but thanks for reminding me ...
I was a pupil 1976/78. Great video and some incredible documents there with names of teachers I recall plus where they studied. I had no idea Mrs Beer went to Cambridge University. The assembly hall got into a horrible state.

OMG my first form photo 1Alpha with mrs moore in the orange jumper and then the 5th form prizes towards the end recognise so many names - brilliant - who made this film? ian Gregory ?
I loved Mr Kerr for 2 reasons; 1. He looked like a vampire. 2. He was the original Basil Fawlty. I never did well at chemistry because i was in hysterics at his sarcastic outbursts.
