Agreed, but Jeff would have to re-do his advertising and signage. They advertise as 24/7. They would need to specify that towing is 24/7 and lot hours are only xyz. Until then they could be at risk of lawsuit. Additionally there may be county or state laws mandating lot accommodation for those who've been towed.
I don’t understand why these people are putting these stickers on mirrors. Most places I’ve ever been where parking stickers were issued, there were very explicit instructions for where it had to be otherwise the vehicle would be towed for no parking sticker. One large furniture store here in High Point was one that is adamant about the parking sticker couldn’t be on the front windshield. It must be placed in the back window and it would only be accepted if it was in one of the 4 corners. Maybe the property manager should issue rules regarding these parking stickers and give everyone 30 days to get compliant. Otherwise that notice can serve as them being trespassed and when they call you to come to tow cars, the local PD can come for those who are trespassing.
When I was at college, we had to pay for stickers and the instructions were explicit as to where it had to be affixed. The campus police were quick to ticket anyone who didn't have it in the proper place. I had the same thing when I worked for a local hospital. You could actually get fired if you got 3 tickets or more.
@@jameslovitt994 The point is if the apartments required specific placement... make the people sign an acknowledgement that they've been told and if the sticker isn't where it's supposed to be they get towed.... the sticker sharing problem would solve itself.
the management of the apartments is putting you in a bad position by not having their sticker program thought out better. Their stickers should come with instructions as to how and where to afix them, and require writing their license number on it. Problem solved. No sharing, no stealing, no problem. If it's not where it's supposed to be, hook 'em up.
Since he's making the decisions to tow, he can get sued if there's a sticker really there since management doesn't make it mandatory where it's located
The parking situation at this apartment complex is completely out of control. The management needs to make it clear that the sticker needs to be applied in a specific place on the auto. It cannot be shared among multiple vehicles if it is adhered to the vehicle. Make it clear if that is not done the vehicle WILL BE TOWED!

Instead of the parking sticker going on the outside of the window...get the kind that sticks to the inside of the window...can't be stolen if the widws are up and the car is locked.
For the sticker issue, I'd just ignore the stickers, and have the owner just phone you with "go get license plate 12345" - you shouldn't have to be searching for stickers everywhere.
I used to monitor parking lots for apartment complexes and went through this same stuff. They were supposed to put the sticker on the inside of the window in the upper left of the window. Nobody would enforce that, but that's where most people put it. We towed a few that had stickers because they would put them up in the tent. When they'd come to the tow company they'd make them move it. We had one girl we towed that thew it upside down in the rear deck with 5% tint windows and expected for that to be enough.
My thought...Management should start giving fines to the people on the lease if the sticker is not stuck to the front wind shield. Management also needs to do an apartment check to see how many people are living in each one. Two many people in one apartment could end up with fines from the fire inspector.

I applaud Jeff and Kristen. That kind of tension, confrontation and those threats would have me in a constant state of having a panic attack, raise my blood,pressure and most likely have me in tears. I hate confrontation of any sort and threats just make things that much worse. Y’all have strength that only comes out in me when it comes to my kids…..then I become the super momma bear.

Boy, when I see people act the way that guy did, I can't help but be grateful that I did not end up so angry. I think people have a kernel of either good or bad in them and how it reacts to life is how these people come up out of the ground. I can't imagine what helped to create that nasty man.

Wow! This has probably been the most divest episode of everything autos that I’ve ever seen thus far! I cannot believe the people in this video and how they act and think they can get away with Misinformation and lastly the gentleman being racist!! While calling you a racist!? That completely confused me I had no idea what the heck that I was talking about. He just knew he was losing a losing battle and had no other thing to say other than that and figure that would work for him in his favor. Once again, I commend you for being so professional and polite to these complete uneducated humans that are unfortunately amongst us and yet continue to blame everyone else for their own lack of education of their daily lives! In a way it makes me feel very angry, and also helpless due to the fact that I am unable to do my job as a Towing and Recovery operator as a current time while I continue to recover from my near, fatal, massive stroke! if apartment management has parking passes that stick to the windshield means theres no sharing of the sticker or changing vehicles with it and if theres rules on that don't be blaming the tow guy for you not having a parking sticker. share this with the apartment manager and report his actions loosing the parking sticker or your apartment

We live in a world, where people are being brought up to play the victim card, whenever they don't get their way. Maybe parents should tell their children more often, that although they are special to them , that doesn't mean, that they really are anything special. The world does not owe you anything. If you start from that point, you will less likely be disappointed and get much further in you life.

How awesome for us, with all the tow truck companies in the area the appartments could have called they managed to score the GOAT! 😎 Well that could have gone a few different ways, I was waiting for the pretty party lights and music to start, then the guy leaving in bracelets 🥳 The sheer absurdity of a grown man's actions, he turned an interaction into a situation, all because he forgot to adult up when he got to the impound lot. As we all know, Insults are only insults when we perceive them to be, but the disrespect and offensiveness from this guy, honestly I was waiting for the gate to close and Jeff to drive off, with the guy getting his car between 8am-4pm during the week. Somehow Jeff reminded composed and not once did this man child stop and think about Jeff and Kristen going out of their way to help him have his car for the next day, all while they are super careful with his property. Any complex that requires stickers but doesn't standardize where they should be place or give them to residents upon move-in is just asking for all kinds of trouble. i'd like to see video of the new lot durning the day time . Also are you still using the lot behind this one too ? I thought you were gonna keep using the back lot and put a office in the front with the gate . What about the other business that were renting the lot from ? Now they have to go through yours to get to there's . I guess I am confused or missed something . Seems like you need better lighting on both parts of the lots for your safety .
We bought the lot in front of 221 Newman Road and we’re renovating it now, so we’ll gradually shift away from renting the back lot but they will always have access. Any businesses that rent from the back lot will have access.
I completely agree with Jeff….That dude was unnecessarily rude. If his girl would have had her sticker displayed properly they wouldn’t have been towed in the first place. @@rcorn79135what school was that? (Mostly I'm nosy! I once got a parking ticket on campus and flat REFUSED to pay it as I had a sticker but I had taken- I think my Dad's vehicle that day!) Anyways, I ranted and raced about it for a month or so and finally my Gramps GAVE me the $10 I needed to pay the ticket!
