Illenium i love you man. Ive been through so much, and you've helped me more than you know! My journey has felt like burning for a lifetime. I kept pushing my shadow down, and relentlessly fighting the hydra of chaos. With every attempt to beat fire with fire, the hydra grew more heads, larger, more incomprehensible. To the point i was afraid to look at my own darkness. I have lived many lives running from my shadow, and projected it outward as something to focus my FIRE on. But jn the end I was always my worst enemy. Blinded by my own rage, self loathing, pity party. My inner child was repressed, because every time i tried to express my light to the world, it was rejected. Or thats how it felt from my myopic perspective. So i shut out my beauty, my soul, my light. And it really hurt for so many years. I was looking for fufillment and self love the whole time, while fucking FOOLISHLY looking for it outside. I was afraid to look inside. Most people are. But we have the courage to weather the storm. To stand back up! Ive made mistakes, ive been a piece of shit demon in my past lives, and even in this one. But by knowing who you truly are, you see the wisdom, the power, the ambitiom, the refocusing of your flame, to find balance. To understand and forgive your shadow. Im not there yet, but im mot giving up! Though i burn from the light of the refiners fire (truth), I am growing and realizing the cycles of my own chaos. And it will never end until I accept who i am and move forward! The Phoenix imagery is powerful for me, because i relate to it on so many levels. Time and time again the fire bird (pure spirit) descended into a prison of flesh. He kept fighting against his own shadow, which is part of himself. Like a rabbid dog chasing its own tail, following its primal instinct, i too have been lead astray. When I stopped chasing my own tail, I could see whats in front of me the whole time. Im sorry for everything I've done. I cant bury the past, but i can keep the tombstone around as a reminder. I dont know fucking shit. Shut my mouth and listen every once and a while. My thoughts always race, so if i can work on mental clarity, i will be able to listen and integrate great wisdom and advice from people who want to help. Thank you all for the hard lessons and tough love, patience, guidance, teaching me to reframe how i view things ❤
