From what I've seen so far, Illenium always makes songs that are both beautiful and heartbreaking. This song is no exception. I like the sense of defiance in this song as well. Excellent work

Everyone else: Sad and depressed Me, stuck in a locked mall: *help* Edit: for those of you who wanna know what happened, I was basically goofing off with my friends and the mall was gonna close. I got into an argument with my one friend (let’s call her Sally) and she ran to the bathroom (my other friend followed her) so I was sitting there when my phone buzzed. So apparently, they went straight from the bathroom to the exit because they thought I was there. Plot twist. I wasn’t. And so, after spending 30 minutes frantically spamming a very pissed off Sally with texts for help, I spent the next hour running through an empty mall searching for someone to help me out. And Sally? Well I’m avoiding her because apparently she was the one who told my other friend that I was at the exit when I really wasn’t. Lol they both left without me and I had to call my dad to pick me up. Neither of us were happy. So I basically got locked in a mall by my friend and sat there crying for like 20 minutes. Edit: update: So after talking with a few trusted peeps for advice I attempted to talk to her to try to explain why I’d been avoiding her (even tho she locked me in in the first place but) and she basically said that A, by avoiding her I was hurting everyone around me, betraying my friends, and that I was being a bully for causing drama B, that she was only trying to joke/tease and that it wasn’t a big deal and that I was being a ‘piece of shit’ by overreacting So... I’ve basically gone back to avoiding her haha Edit 47585: Update: I ended up moving for other reasons, but after I kind of failed in an attempt to drop them they ended up telling me to essentially f- off, so I did! I’m currently very happy and I’ve made some awesome new friends... thanks y’all :D
Illenium can inspire everyone in making music including me. He's also one of the reason why I started to make music. If anyone of you wants to achieve something amazing in life, I hope you'll get it one day. 👋
My close friends lost their child (who was a close friend of my child). This song and lyrics reminded me of him and I started to cry. Rest in peace, K. You left us too soon. 😢

D27 : I almost forget about D27 😁because I've been busy all day and the connection was not good. My cousins asked me to hike one of beautiful hill in my region. The view was so good, you can see the sea from peak of the hill. We spent like 4-5 hours on the peak. We ate, played guitar, took pictures, sang and tried to use air rifle. That's so much fun, I wish I can do it with you guys, it will be perfect :)
D19 : Today was moody day, It has been rainy all day and unexpectedly my ex didn't block all of my social media anymore. But I saw her picture with her new BF. She looks happy and somehow I didn't feel sad anymore. Actually, I'm happy and be grateful to God 'coz she found the guy who love her more than I can do (maybe). So, for my ex, in case you see this comment in the future, I just want you to know that I'm very happy for you and make me more easy to move on. Thank you for everything :).
