NJ's concept is refreshing, clean and y2k ps : NJ didn't create long hair style vibe. Kpop mv is always colorful or busy or having some big fashion statement. Just because both groups have a soft and mellow songs doesn't mean it is the same. NJ and ILLIT concept is minimalistic that is the only thing that I can say it is similar.

The MV is definitely giving NewJeans. The running around and looking over your shoulder is ditto core. The choreography is also very NewJeans. BUT I feel like the song is at least a bit different. Like if NewJeans were to do this song I wouldn’t even question it but at the same time it’s a bit too video game for them. I feel like NewJeans is dreamy in a different way. This one has way too much going on in the instrumental compared to a NewJeans song. But yeah I mean it’s basically the same thing. I’m not complaining tho. I feel like they’ll find their unique sound as they go on. And NewJeans will also change at some point. I guess people are right in saying that every company has a sound so it’s not a problem, but I personally thought HYBE was very diverse. Not diverse but each group had its own thing going on. Like SM is.. idk how to describe it but right now except for red velvet they all have a similar sound JYP is kpop core but they’re all quite different imo YG is cringe hip hop or whatever but I feel like they usually have just one group at a time doing it so it’s fine. And then with HYBE I feel like bts themselves are so diverse. Txt is very much fantasy. And then enhypen are different too. Lesserafim are well idek atp but they’re nothing like NewJeans. And seventeen to me are now like the new bts in terms of title tracks. Like their title tracks give me such a 2017-2019 bts tt vibe. ( read that again and interpret it in a non offensive way before you start yelling at me ).But they also have such a history and image of their own. So yeah it’s just weird to see repetition in HYBE. Also makes me bitter cause they’re supposed to be the ‘good’ company but they’re always doing commercial shit like this to make money it rubs me the wrong way. I know I’m going to get dragged for this take but I’ve been there for the ‘HYBE is pure’ era and I’ve read way too much “we’re better than you” from army’s for example. I have to clock it 🤭
