That 1:50 break is where the fun starts - unbelievable banger, still today (2024). No wonder no-one ever dared to remix this jewel! Prowd owner of both the 12" and some SL-1210
Love this pre-goa, acid-trancy "Man With No Name/Art Of Trance/Mystica" style. This was made by Doug Osborne (1/2 of Sourmash, known with 1993 famous track "Pilgrimage To Paradise") and Gordon Matthewman, co-owner of a quality label called "Rabbit City Records" with some great rave music stuff, and owner of "Edge Records". The scene is lacking such proper "Platipus-sounding" trance with minimum modern samples. Music charts are full of commercial trash and cheesy vocal uplifting, some of which are just ripping-off each other, and it's not so easy to find quality trance nowadays.
Back in the days I have been listening to The Steve Mason Experience show every friday on BFBS Radio since 1992 and I remember this track being played a lot of times when it came out, also remember 2 or 3 more tracks by this artist which were excellent as well. Thanx 4 bringing those memories back.....
Nice old trance classic I have a question would you have the track Lagoon - Cosmic Ray (Trance Mix)? you can hardly find it on YT or only shortened and in no good quality.
Los once que le han dado a dislike no entienden de música para nada... Esto es un temazo como una catedral!! Músicon y subidon!!! Tremendo Extreme SuPreMeE!!! Yeahhhhhhh!!! Up, Up, Up...!!!!
Reminds me a lot of Goa Trance. Will you be uploading stuff from Hallucinogen, Astral Projection, Man with no name, Juno Reactor and etc? These guys have tracks that rock, ponder why 90s trance heads are so, Eurocentric?
They were mixing down on analogue mixing desks with fibre optics adat DAT. then onto brass discs for printing onto vinyl. No computers no vst plug-in no DAW. Mental when you actually think about how long it took from producer to dance floor. Here in 2021 it's all DaW vst plugins and digital binary file formats never even touched the anologue until it's played and herd by the listener.
A lot of us branched off into exclusively Psy/Goa trance in the early to mid 2000’s, at least I did. For me, and I assume many here, I don’t think any trance will ever beat the 90’s though.
@@leilap2495 you're right, the early 90s stuff is a lot different to say 1997 onwards. I'm not really clued up on much of it but the few gems I know and love are excellent. 👌
I love 90's dance but the highest peaks I think have been from the Forest and Hi-Tech subgenres of psy-trance. The albums Psykovsky - Tanetsveta and Derango - Tumult are stunning works!
Gave up on ASOT a long time ago. I think the top 1000 was voted by fans? Wasn't even worth looking at the list until the last 50 and even then they're not all great. Armin did do a classic mix recently with Ferry which was pretty good though.
Off topic. Do you own "Dream Traveler - Time" the original on vinyl? Got in touch with the guy Joey who wrote it. He doesn't even own a copy, neither digital or otherwise. Hopefully come across a fairly priced vinyl at some point then. :(
Great track & can you do a 2hr set for the masses as we're all in lock down, as you have a really, really good vinly collection there & show everyone how good you really are 🎧 🎵 🎶 🤪
