We documented the event Illuminated Letters organized by the Friends of the Alphabet. This mesmerizing performance allowed the audience to observe the work of calligraphers in action. With lights dimmed and the workspaces illuminated only by spot-lighting, the atmosphere of silence let visitors walk through the space at their own pace discovering different ancient and contemporary styles. This intimate performance concept was first devised and staged as "Brushes with Silence" by renowned lettering artist Brody Neuenschwander.
