We all need to be more like this man. Intelligent, skeptical, and funny as hell. Keep spreading the skepticism people. Don't stop until all the silly is gone.
Randi is enjoying, I hope, a thoroughly deserved retirement. That means that we should be accepting part of the burden that be shouldered for decades. If you're a skeptic, let it be known. Be firm, be humble, be compassionate, but wear your skepticism on your sleeve. The most important thing when considering the fraudulent predator and the vulnerable prey is to have compassion for the latter. There is a tendency among some to say that members of a 'faith healer's' audience, for example, are stupid and deserve to be swindled. Blaming the victim is not only unconscionable, it's useless. Turning your back on the victim allows the perpetrator to continue to prey on other victims.

James Randi (RIP) was one of a kind. I can't thank this man enough for dedicating his life to opening up the eyes of a lot of people. People such as peter popoff claim to have supernatural powers and exploit men and womens pain, and wallets are absolutely disgusting and evil people.
That's not what I meant. Time dilation has been tested on aeroplane and even on just differing altitudes (slight difference in gravity) with resting clocks.
The coolest part, for me, was not the exposing of fakes, but that a whole audience was bilingual enough to understand such a conversation. One of my greatest dreams is to be fluent in atleast one other language, maybe more, however; I seem to lack the patience.

Ken Norton These guys know all the tricks, They know that people have flaws, forgetting stuff from the past, or not taking that much attention to it anymore is only one of them. There's nothing paranormal to understanding that. He doesn't possess any divine powers, but rather uses the evil ones to make a profit out of suffering people.
It's not surprising. He didn't lie low for all that long. As long as people believe in magical things, and as long as people are vulnerable, grieving or unwell, there will be charlatans who think nothing of preying on those vulnerable people. When you see those people, as a skeptic it's important to remember they're vulnerable. Don't view them as gullible people who deserve to be swindled.
If it weren't for religion, humankind would be 1000 years more advanced scientifically... Religion suppressed the majority of sciences from about 500 AD and 1500 DC. hence Galileo and the other scientists of the era.
Bullcrap religion breeds war we only invent things during times of war I challenge anyone to tell me a new invention not invented during war thats technology is less than 100 years old. Everything is an adaptation of old inventions nothing is new. Cell phones are lights cameras and radio signals.. Titanic had lights a radio and pictures were taken of it we haven't invented crap in a very long time. Titanic had two compound engines and one steam turbine engine which is a primitive jet engine like the ones found on a boeing 747. You are right to say that the new testament was altered in time,from the biblical languages of Hebrew,Aramaic to Greek,Latin.And many important parts of the new testament was lost this way and you are also right to say that Jesus never said of himself that he was a God,he said that all humans are a part of God included himself(son of God).But the same happend with the Holy Qur'an, after the Prophet Muhammad died it still did take 20 years after his dead that they wrote the first parts of Qur'an.
Of course you have the large hadron collider in Swiss (CERN) which was build from 1998 to 2008 and indeed it is one of the largest and most complex experimental facilities where many theories will be and can be proven,so you're right to say that we don't need to go to space for many experiments anymore.Still James Randi wants to debunk many things that are difficult to prove.The trick with the matchbox and how he debunkt somebody with it is really ridiculous,so is his view on science and life !!
I agree. Cern works with the Vatican. Why would a scientific research facility of the magnitude of Cern be involved with the Vatican. There many things in life that we don't understand such as duplicate star systems, mass extinction of the dinosaurs and the underground cities being discovered all of the time. There is nothing wrong with believing in a place beyond understanding to many people.

Burden of proof is on you buddy. You say God exists...... Give me evidence..... Not emotional arguments or pointing at a book. But take me out into the world and show me God. If God made this reality, then studying this reality should lead to it. But it doesn't, people who study reality, without starting with the bible...... tend to find zero evidence for a god. So again, give us some evidence please. Or better yet.... Prove an invisible, intangible, and immortal goat does not live in my garage. Cause I promise he's in there.....
