Illuvium has been building the core principles of the game for the past 3 years. Now building in core gameplay elements has never been easier. There is no other choice!

Let's be honest, and I don't mean this in a bad way, but as an investor in the entire system, I've been invested in Illuvium for years now, and unfortunately, when you see the immense hype and everything surrounding Palworld, which a few kids put together, I really don't understand why they would then slow down the battle by introducing a plate where I have to place my Illuvials. It just doesn't make any sense! I'm in the Overworld and suddenly on a chessboard, why... It takes away all the immersion, and there are still no NPCs, no points of interest, no interactions - it gets very boring very quickly. I hope the team is working on it. Good luck.

Okay, first of all ofc i want to say i am very happy to see illuvials. A great step in a good direction. But i actually came here to leave some slightly harsher feedback and my prediction of the future of illuvium and the challenges it faces. I think as it's looking right now the target audience are crypto ppl mainly because it just does not seem finished. I feared this happening for a long time - now we arrive where deadlines given and economy pressing forces an actual illuvium release with permanent assets - and yet the game is not ready to carry it so we will pretend that it's an open beta but factually its released in this state soon. It just happens to coincide with palword massive success and it's gonna make illuvium look bad if it lacks sufficient elements to have engaging gameplay. I truly fear it will get judged harshly and as an irrelevant game in gaming, im quite sure of it, especially by full blockchain nature its a 100% p2w game and web2 gamers despise that. That's why arena cannot carry it because then eveyone gonna be pissed at p2w, it must be an adventure fun game first. It's not neccessarily a death sentence, but because releasing in a unfinished state, it will require hard will and determination for another set of years to get the game and go against peoples judgement for so long. It's hard and feels bad, but its seen done before. But in reality, it won't really be judged by the mainstream yet because they don't consider web3 games something serious to talk about. I think definitely palworld will force illuvium into a gauntlet arms race of improving itself in a much more focused way, and i do think its 2-3 years down the road before overworld will reach a competitive level of completion. If and only if that goes well, illuvium can grow alongside web3 in the public opinion for another 3-5+ years until reaching a critical point where a lot more will come. But all of this is based on a series of steps that all need to succeed and essentially boil down making the gameplay good and interesting enough but also hiding away web underneath the games interface. And even then, i only see overworld as a beta of what a real open world mmo could be. It's gonna be a long process, and i hope you are up to the task. Now when you consider that something like palworld just breaks critical success in a flash just like all the greatest things have generally done, that does make you think if it is truly possible to build up slowly into mega size. It has been seen before, but it takes serious dedication over time. Broadly speaking, for just gaming, it's might not be a great idea that older illuvials are generally speaking unobtainable IF masses come in years later - so it's more like some MTG card game stuff and i have a very hard time understanding the impact of that. It seems to be an investment idea at the cost of gameplay quality. All in all illuvium is just a beast onto itself with a lot of things cooking and hard to predict, but it is going to be very interesting to see. I am however a gamer first, so while im in crypto to invest, i won't play a game if it doesn't deliver a great experience because that's just the way i am. But there is no doubt about that if illuvium or a game using the token model of rev dist succeeds, the sky is the absolute limit for token owners. I think that the main challenge on the horizen for Illuvium is lacking gameplay elements - a lot and i mean a lot is missing. I think you underestimate how much more is needed - i would almost dare say you have mostly just finished skeleton and still need to build nearly all the body. I think also the overreliance on web3 is going to be a massive barrier to entry on the web2 markets. I think personally crypto should be integrated more intelligently and not let completely loose in an absolute free way because that will turn the game into pure p2w, and no real gamers really like p2w. It's not asian markets its the western markets where people generally despise it. How can i say this, if everything can be obtained by buying it with no requirements of efforts or skill just a big wallet, then nothing means anything - there are plenty of such games out there and they are generally not liked. It's truly feats of great effort, great luck(that cannot be bought) or great skill that create rewards that gamers truly admire. If you just have things that have monetary value then you will only attract people who are finantially minded.

Anyone with VR headset, it works with the Universal Unreal VR Mod, both Arena and Overworld is playable and feels amazing. Devs, please try it and if you agree, allow this mod when anticheat will be a thing.

Good mobility, yea, but what else? No danger, those illuvials just run away? Thats it? This is not a game. This isn’t a project which is in beta, this is years away from alpha.

still needs a lot of work and a lot more details to be added into the world. Looks and feels way to bland and nothing to really do. Gotta add quests and rewards and things like that. Should also add leveling up skills and things like that etc... I understand the hype people have but they gotta also be realistic if we want to see this game succeed! Anyway, I am happy to see improvements and I hope for the best
