Iloilo City is clean and fairly modern, most areas around Cebu are as well, and those features will cost more than an end of the road village.... Which you prefer is dependent on your comfort level and your budget.... Investing in property there is a whole new conversation.... Great job Nate...... 👍

3 mil pesos on a condo would pay for itself on the savings in rent after 16 years. So if you are planning on spending the next 30 to 40 years in that condo it’s worth it.

Iloilo is a great city. They have the best malls. I have only been to four islands in PH., so I am not sure how expensive it is compared to other places. It seemed about the same. 55.5 pesos per dollar and about 50-60 % less on most items and services. Did you meet any hos at that disco? I was not able to take in the nightlife as I have a family.

I'm not really a bar or nightclub guy but there were certainly some interested ladies. I was getting the looks like I was wagyu beef and they were lions. haha I have always enjoyed the women I meet on normal day to day activities tbh. They seem to be more kind, beautiful, and more pleasurable to keep my company than ladies I meet at bars.

You can find nice condos between 3 and 4 mil pesos. No need to spend 6 or 8.

I'm still at the beginning of my Philippines exploration but this is my favorite city so far. I really enjoyed Queretaro Mexico and Jomtien Thailand too. Each had unique characteristics that would but them in my top cities. I would also include Platanias, Crete Greece in the list as well.

Hello Nate, And enjoy your stay in Iloilo.. You should visit and walk riverl esplanades and try the Brandy Museum. I have a studio unit for lease in avida, much cheaper than those if you are interested.

It does appear more expensive compared to other places I've been in PI. I'm still examining prices throughout the city but i can say the megaworld area is the most expensive area ive been to thus far.

I havnt seen it in this area. One spatial condominium or avida might have condos at that price though. I'll keep looking though.

The street lights are a welcome change here. I have not cooked. In fact, I ordered mexican food to be delivered as I saw this notification. 😋

We stayed overnight at Lafayette last May. I swim in that pool with Aussie girls. Btw, Try Theos at SM they open at 7am for breakfast and also Monkey grounds.

I enjoyed swimming in the madison pool. I'll be trying those places this week. I'll let you know what I think of them.

I saw those on Facebook market place. There, one spatial, and avida looked like some decently priced condominiums.

@@expatlifestyle2000 we bought a place, but if we were looking for a place to rent The Uptown place would probably be my choice. I didn’t care for one spatial, I did like grounds with Avida but lack of balconies on buildings and the window ac units gave me the impression property would not age well. Best of luck to you in your hunt.

I actually have a video publishing on Tuesday where I walk and talk around the big SM mall. There is tons of construction around here but I'm not sure about that specific project.
