the only downside is that it largely dried up the ponds, and so the egrets roosting and feeding there have significantly diminished. Another thing is maintenance, should take advantage if there's a light rain to do some brushing or cleaning of the pavement brick. The replacement of broken or worn out ones as well. and of course since, the railings are made of metal, constant monitoring for missing or rusty ones. It would be nicer if it was of the more hardy concrete baluster.
