I hope the girls analyzed this game afterwards. The end game position here is crazy, and it gave Stockfish brain aneurysm. Apparently, unless the last white pawn falls, White can hold the ground with accurate play, and force the draw by 50-move rule (or repetition). Interestingly, even when white loses the pawn (which is what happens here), Stockfish Lite still thinks it's a draw and ends up repeating moves. But SF 16.1 on high depth manages to squeeze checkmate in whopping 36 moves. Fascinating game. Congrats to Miss Fatality. 😎👍

Superb play Fatality! Play the Kan system more often, you'll win more games. Remember if you wish to win EVERY SINGLE game whether you're White or Black you MUST CREATE AN IMBALANCE IN THE POSITION! You did that here and outplayed an IM! Only play the Caro Kann if you're playing a long match with someone and holding a draw is okay. ✌
