I would recommend a masterpiece performance by Alina Pash in the final of the National Selection for Eurovision: "Shadows of forgotten ancestors". It's a masterpiece at many levels with a lot of depth in layers: musically, visually, and performance-wise. In a way, it turned out a premonition of the war although it was written earlier, and the message could be the slogan of Eurovision: "Remember your ancestors but write your own history".
Our artists often use our folk tradition to write songs, it's very popular with us. It may not be the best track for the first time to meet the artist, but I highly recommend to see her clip Alina Pash - Bitanga (a mix of fashion, african beats and local ethnics of one of the regions of Ukraine - the Carpathian Mountains)
Exploring your channel after stumbling upon it yesterday. Eclectic taste in music for sure that leads to yet another suggestion: Hu Wolf Totem music video. Going to need subtitles on for that one too. They are a Mongolion folk metal band complete with throat singing.
Alyona can be pronounced like "(just A sound like in "up") - learn(without articulating R at all) - (just A sound like in "up")", without interruptions between, and 2 times )
